Birth Resource Network of Gainesville (BRiNG) Community Building
We work to grow the local birth community in Gainesville and the surrounding area.

The Birth Resource Network of Gainesville (BRiNG) is dedicated to bringing together one place for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn, and breastfeeding resources to growing families in Gainesville and Alachua County. We hold monthly meetings to encourage birth professionals and community members to connect and collaborate. By fostering personal relationships among birth professionals of all bac

kgrounds, we strengthen the network of caregivers in our area and promote greater understanding of the range of options and resources available to pregnant women and growing families. Resources and Referrals
As a budding network, we hope to give new and expecting parents in Gainesville a single place where they can find reliable information about their options for giving birth and getting support after birth. We provide a local resource directory with pregnancy, labor and birth, newborn care, postpartum support and breastfeeding resources. The directory includes service providers who are members of BRiNG, as well as non-profit support/advocacy organizations, government agencies and local businesses in our community. Since every birth is different, we invite parents to contact us or come to a meeting to talk with our members and get personalized referrals. Outreach and Education
BRiNG is committed to nurturing a healthy, happy and safe birth community for women and babies. We provide evidence-based information about safe, healthy options for maternity care and birth. We advocate for greater choice for birthing women in hospitals, birth centers and at home. And we reach out at public events and through our online presence to educate the public about options for maternity care and sources of support for new and expecting parents.

Today we celebrate International Day of the Midwife 💚

Midwives are at the heart of safe, respectful, and compassionate care for families. From pregnancy to birth to postpartum and beyond, they provide evidence-based care, advocacy, and unwavering support during some of life’s most transformative moments.

At BRiNG, we are proud to work alongside midwives in our community who are dedicated to improving outcomes, expanding access, and honoring the diverse needs of the families they serve.

Thank you to all midwives for the care you provide, the lives you touch, and the difference you make every single day.

✨ What an incredible evening ✨

We are still feeling so grateful after last night’s BRiNG Birth Worker Networking Meeting at Vision Birth Center. Over 30 amazing professionals came together, including midwives, doulas, PAs, mental health professionals, massage therapists, yoga instructors, alternative medicine practitioners, nurses, lactation consultants, and more. Seeing so many passionate individuals in one space, all dedicated to supporting families, was truly inspiring. 💚

This is exactly why BRiNG exists. To connect, collaborate, and create space for meaningful conversations around pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, breastfeeding, newborn care, and beyond.

We are excited to continue growing this vibrant network and offering more opportunities to come together, share knowledge, and support one another and the families we serve.

✨ Stay tuned for our next networking meeting and upcoming events

National Infertility Awareness Week is a time to honor, acknowledge, and hold space for the many paths to building a family.

At BRiNG, we recognize that infertility can be a deeply personal and often isolating experience. Whether you are navigating a recent diagnosis, pursuing fertility treatments, grieving a loss, or carrying the quiet weight of uncertainty, you deserve compassionate, respectful support.

Our community exists to connect you with trusted, local resources that center your needs and your voice. Through our network, you can find providers offering fertility support, mental health care, holistic wellness services, and guidance through complex reproductive journeys. We believe in making care more accessible, more inclusive, and more human.

You are not alone in this. There is a community here that sees you, supports you, and walks alongside you.

We’re honored to spotlight someone who shows up for our community with deep care, LaToya Hunt, registered nurse with the UF Health Mobile Outreach Clinic and leader of the Parent Pals Postpartum Support Group. 🌸

As a lifelong Gainesville resident and a mother herself, LaToya brings a grounded and personal understanding of what it means to navigate motherhood in our community. Her specialized lactation training, paired with her warm and welcoming presence, helps create spaces where new parents feel safe, seen, and truly supported.

Through both clinical care and community connection, her work reflects a commitment to accessible, compassionate postpartum support …meeting families where they are and walking alongside them.

We’re grateful for the care she offers and the impact she continues to make. Gainesville is stronger because of her. 💛
