We were honored to welcome Lauren Williams from the United Way of White County to Bridging Hope this week!

Lauren delivered a generous donation from United Way in support of our mission and spent time touring our center and learning more about the services we provide to survivors in our community. We are so grateful for partners like United Way of White County who invest in creating a safer, stronger community for everyone.

Thank you, Lauren, and United Way of White County, for believing in the work we do! 🩵

This week, Kalia, Liz, Leigh, and Julie have had the opportunity to attend the Statewide Family Violence Conference in Athens, GA, joining professionals from across the state to deepen their knowledge and strengthen their understanding of family violence.

We’re especially proud that the SAKI Taskforce, including Leigh, Julie, and Jay, had the opportunity to share information about Georgia’s statewide program with conference participants. 👏

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to learn, connect, and continue building our capacity to better support survivors and our community.

Our BH team took a little time to slow down, soak up some sunshine, and recharge together! 🩵

Our work is deeply rewarding, but it can also be heavy, and we believe caring for our clients starts with caring for the people who care for them. Today was all about relaxation, rejuvenation, laughter, and filling our own cups so we can continue pouring into the survivors we serve. 🫶

Grateful for this incredible team and the opportunity to pause, reconnect, and recharge together! 🌊✨

Today, on Women’s Equality Day, we recognize the progress made toward equality while acknowledging the work that remains.

For women and girls, equality cannot exist without safety. Sexual assault and intimate partner violence are deeply connected to the broader struggle for gender equality. Power, control, gender-based violence, and societal attitudes that minimize or excuse harm all intersect to create barriers to women living freely, safely, and with full autonomy over their lives.

At Bridging Hope, we believe that working toward equality means working toward a world where every woman can live with safety, dignity, autonomy, and hope.

Today, and every day, we stand with survivors and continue the work toward a future where equality means more than opportunity: it means freedom from violence.

Happy Women’s Equality Day. 🩵🎉
