Bridging Hope was so honored to attend the inaugural Hall County Out of the Darkness Walk hosted by the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention this past weekend!

This meaningful event brought our community together to honor loved ones lost to su***de, raise awareness about mental health, and support su***de prevention through education and research. We are grateful to stand alongside others who are committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and reminding our community that no one has to face their struggles alone. 🩵

Together, we can continue to bring hope, foster connection, and work toward a future where fewer lives are lost to su***de.

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into our everyday lives, it’s also changing the way we date, communicate, and navigate relationships.

Join Bridging Hope and EndTAB for a free virtual session exploring the impact of AI on dating, partnerships, breakups, and even the growing role of AI as a relationship advisor or companion. Together, we’ll consider questions of authenticity, consent, emotional connection, and healthy relationship dynamics.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month & we're proud to support Bridging Hope (formerly R**e Response). Bridging Hope has served survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in our community since 1988, through forensic medical care, advocacy, & prevention education in local schools and campuses.

Meet Janie Steckenrider, Co-Director of Bridging Hope’s Forensic Medical Program. For Domestic Violence Awareness Month, she’s raising awareness about non-fatal strangulation, a serious warning sign of future violence.

Thank you to Janie Steckenrider and Rachel Tomlinson for leading an important conversation at the Annual Hall County Domestic Violence Breakfast & Briefing! 💜

Their presentation, “What Goes Around Your Neck Can Be Deadly,” highlighted the serious and potentially life-threatening dangers of strangulation and the importance of recognizing warning signs. Continued education and collaboration are essential to strengthening our community’s response to domestic violence and supporting survivors.

Thank you to the Hall County Domestic Violence Task Force for bringing our community together to learn, connect, and make a difference.

We 💗 seeing our community come together to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Our Advocacy Manager, Kalia Jordan, attended the Unity Project’s Pink Out event, where she shared information about Bridging Hope’s services and how we support survivors.

Kalia is pictured with Julie Goodin of Clothing for a Purpose, who oversees their clothing room, which looks amazing! We’re grateful for community partners who make a difference and help ensure individuals have access to the resources and support they need. 💗🎀

A heartfelt thank you to United Way of Hall County for awarding Bridging Hope with financial support through their Community Impact Grants! 🎉

This investment will help us continue to expand access to specialized care, including bilingual therapy services, so more survivors can receive the support they deserve in a language they understand. This support also makes it possible for us to host a Brenau University PsyD intern, providing valuable clinical therapy experience while helping strengthen access to compassionate, specialized care for our community.

We are so grateful for United Way’s continued commitment to survivor healing and the health and well-being of our Hall County community! 🩵
