A Special Wish was proud to be part of the State of Ohio Combined Charitable Campaign Kickoff event this week!

The CCC gives State of Ohio employees an easy way to support participating non-profits through payroll deductions or one-time gifts. Every contribution to A Special Wish helps us create special memories for families through wishes for local children facing life-threatening illnesses.

We’re grateful to be part of this campaign and to the state employees who choose to support our mission! ❤️

Our wish child, Crew, made some very special memories with his family in Pittsburgh! ♥️

From exploring the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium to discovering hands-on fun at the Children's Museum and Science Museum, Crew enjoyed every moment of his special wish trip.

Seeing him experience new adventures, laugh with his family, and simply enjoy being a kid is what wishes are all about. ✨

✨Meet Jonathan!✨

Johnathan is 12 years old and was diagnosed with an abnormal genetic disorder. He enjoys swimming, playing with his siblings and bubbles, and watching Disney movies.

Jonathan wishes to go to Disney World so he can enjoy all of the Frozen experiences such as meeting Elsa & Anna and riding Frozen Ever After!

We are excited to help make Jonathan's wish come true this October and can't wait to see the joy, and special memories this experience brings to him and his family!

A heartfelt thank you to NC4K for inviting us back to your annual Back2School Bash! 💙📚

On Wednesday evening, Rachel and Vickie, one of our ASW volunteers, had the opportunity to hand out goodie bags, connect with so many wonderful NC4K families, and even catch up with a few of our own wish families!

Thank you NC4K for creating such a fun and welcoming event to help kids head back to school feeling prepared, encouraged, and celebrated. We are honored to be a small part of it!

Today, we celebrate one year of LISA!

Lisa came out of retirement and found her way to us because she wanted to use her experience to make a difference. To fully explain the impact she has made on our organization in just one year would be nearly impossible.

She is way overqualified, way underpaid, and shows up every single time with a smile. Her work behind the scenes helps us make a very real difference in the lives of local children.

Lisa is our accounting expert, our problem-solver and SUCH an important part of our team. We are incredibly grateful she chooses to share her time and talents with A Special Wish. Happy one year, Lisa! We are beyond lucky to have you! 🌟❤

Ariel came to us with a unique wish and a big dream.

His lifelong goal is to become a voice actor, so his wish was to voice a character in one of his favorite video games.

Thanks to our incredible partnership with Give Kids The World, Ariel traveled to Orlando for the GCX Gaming Conference, where he stepped into the world of voice acting firsthand.

During his visit, he had the special opportunity to meet acclaimed voice actor Matt Mercer and spend more than an hour learning from professional voice actors. He read scripts, showcased his talent, received valuable coaching, and gained firsthand insight into what it takes to pursue a career in voice acting.

When asked about the experience, Ariel simply called it "the best day of my life."

Meet David!✨

David is 12 years old and has been diagnosed with multiple Nuerodevelopmental disabilities. He enjoys Watching sports, playing games in the water, and going to Chuck E. Cheese.

This September, David's wish will come true as he and his family head to Disney World for a magical vacation filled with special family moments, and memories that will last a lifetime.

We can't wait to follow David's wish journey and share all the special moments along the way. Stay tuned!
