The Gadsden Lions Club was honored to recognize our 1st Place Winners at the Club Level of the 2026-2027 Lions International Peace Poster at our Club Meeting on Tuesday, October 20. The Club was also delighted to have Mr. Micah Williamson, Executive Director of Darden Rehabilitation Foundation as our guest.
There to receive the Peace Poster Awards were:
🌟 Gianna McNamara - Gadsden Middle School (GMS), accompanied by her proud parents, Sean and Ekaterina McNamara (& her baby brother 🥰), and Vice Principal, Mr. Ray Edwards.
🌟 Roselyn Sanchez - Litchfield Middle School (LMS), accompanied by her proud mom, Christina Sanchez, and Principal, Dr. Charlie Parker.
🌟 Emma Sansom Middle School (ESMS) is also participating in the Peace Poster Contest with their art students being recognized at ESMS on November 4th! All GMS & LMS participants will also be receiving certificates of participation at their schools on November 6th, so be on the lookout for more pictures of winners & posters to come! 🎨
The Club is so proud of ALL of the students participating in the contest at their schools to create their vision of what peace means to them, based on this year's theme, "Harmony in Humanity"!
The Club also appreciates Art Teachers, Mrs. Ashlen Hawkins (GMS & LMS), and Mr. Ryan McRae (ESMS), along with their Principals and Vice Principals, for their guidance and encouragement of students to participate! We are proud to support the arts through a donation being given to benefit the Art Department at each of the three Middle Schools!
