Sending a big SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU to everyone who donated yesterday for NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY! 🙌 It's always such an exciting time to see so many people give so generously to so many amazing and worthy causes in North Texas!

We have learned that the disbursements from North Texas Giving Day 2026 will actually include all donations made through September 30, 2026! That means... it's Not Too Late to be included in our grand total.

So in case you missed the big day yesterday, here's your second chance to be a part of this fundraiser.

You still donate through the same link, which we've posted in the comments section.

Again, we send a very sincere Thank You for your generosity and support.

CHARLIE is a great dog... very sweet and well-mannered according to his foster home. His owner fell upon tough circumstances and could no longer keep him, so we are trying to help find him a new loving home.

Neutered male, about 4 years old and 58 lbs

⭐️ More insights from the foster home: "Charlie knows how to sit, lay, shake, takes treats gently, eats slowly, plays fetch, when someone comes to the door he stays away, does not bark, goes to bed when told, walks on the leash well, no pulling unless scared by something new, rarely barks, greets you at the door with his toy, no jumping on people or counters
• Foster says: "He is literally the best dog. I would keep him myself if I didn't have 2 already." 😊

Who can give this guy his second chance?

Beans is also very urgent. Please share both dogs on our page. They need an adopter or rescue tag by Wednesday to be saved 🐾

Update: adopted!!

3 of 3 - Beans is very urgent - really trying to find his family by Friday!

We need to find a forever family or foster family for Beans, Herbert and Sonny immediately. The walls are closing in on them quickly at the shelter.

Beans is only about 10 months old. Just like Herbert and Sonny, Beans is very social and loves other dogs and people, but we also know that he is great with cats. He’s a wonderful boy that doesn’t deserve the hand he’s been dealt, but I have faith that someone will step forward for him. I really hope that happens tomorrow.

Beans lives inside, okay? With his family.

Many have asked if we are linked up for North Texas Day, 9/19, and we are. Thank you for checking

Thank you also to those of you who did early donations and to those who have shared and reached out.

Texas shelters and rescues can't keep up with the needs of our DFW animal shelter & stray population. Passport For Paws alleviates the burden by fostering and transporting animals to rescues in the Midwest. In most cases, our animals are adopted prior to arriving onsite. ...

“I’m urgently looking for help rehoming my 2.5-year-old mixed-breed pit, Pepper. She is about 35 pounds, spayed, housebroken, crate-trained, and has no aggression toward people. She is very sweet, playful, and loving - I have attached some photos as well.
I recently moved from San Antonio to Rockwall and, unfortunately, can no longer accommodate her. I want to find her a safe, loving home as soon as possible.”

“My beautiful, fuller than life, 4 year old tabby cat named Sylvester is in need of a new home. He is neutered and microchipped.

His situation is a bit complicated. He is currently in the care of a family in Anna, TX, where I rehomed him in 2024. I am his original owner and now live in NYC where I moved to care for an elderly parent, who is severely allergic to cats.

Sylvester's new family in Anna reported that they are now unable to reliably care for him, partly due to their new infant baby who is severely allergic to cats, but also because, Sylvester had become stressed in their home around autumn of last year and began pooping and peeing outside the litterbox. They reported to me that since the beginning of this year, they have been keeping him outside as a free roaming cat, feeding him, and letting him inside on hot days, which causes respiratory issues for their new infant.

I also want to mention that the family reported to me that last year they took Sylvester to a vet to have him checked for a UTI, to see if that would explain his accidents, but he didn't have one. Furthermore, he never exhibited this behavior in my care so I can only speculate that he somehow became stressed in their home.

His current family will soon be surrendering him to a local kill shelter if he cannot find a new home soon.

I am writing to you in hopes that you can help Sylvester find an appropriate home.“
