Evan's Paws for Heroes awarded our first Emotional Support dog to the Hetrick family in Corte Madera CA. Donna (wife), Dylan (son) and Nicole (mother)
This sweet family lost Dan 6 years ago to a heart attack that caused him to have a car accident. This was a very traumatic event that left Dylan without a dad, Donna without a husband and now a single mom, and Nicole without her son.
Dylan is now 19 and going to college, creating a new void in Donna's life. Nicole is 99 years old and very lonely since the only family she has left are Dylan and Donna.
Angel (Angie) a mini sheepadoodle will bring the love and companionship that they all need and give them a new sense of happiness and that sweet puppy love ❤️

Do you want to help us with our vision?
We are looking for local volunteers in the DFW area to be puppy raiser/trainer.
How does this work?
You will get to raise a puppy; we provide the puppy and cover the vet bills for the puppy. You will not only get to help raise the puppy, but also learn how to train a dog.
PM me if you are interested 😊

Many people helped... but Sammy Fernandez was not only the one who's idea it was to do a golf tournament, but by far the one person who was behind everything we did; from getting sponsorships, to inviting players, running back and forth to meetings and dragging stuff around.
There are no words to express our gratitude!!

Evan’s Paws for Heroes was created to honor and remember Evan’s life.
Evan was a true angel who lived to love and care for other, at the young age of 10 he was diagnosed with Leptomeningeal melanoma and died only 8 months after his diagnosis only one month after his 11th birthday. In his short life he had a huge impact on everyone who had the fortune of meeting him, he was a very happy and loving kid, he hugged everyone he saw, his friends, teachers, doctors, nurses, firefighters and some times even strangers that he encounter on the streets, it’s like he knew how much everyone really need to get affection and he gave it without a care in the world!
During his battle with cancer we had many many visits to the hospital and because his condition most of those visit where emergency visit in ambulance, the Frisco Fire department (specifically fire station 5 and the 9) came to assist us so often that they became friends, they loved Evan so much that they made him an honorary firefighter just before he died.
Is because this amazing display of kindness and care that all the firefighters and paramedics gave us during this very very difficult time that we want to honor them and give back some of that love and kindness.
