Thanks, Rebecca, for the pictures while you were feeding this morning!

Blitzen and Sizzle came into the stall while it was barely sprinkling, giving her those silly eyes and trying to sweet-talk her out of some alfalfa. Apparently, getting three raindrops on you deserves compensation.

Y’all, it’s just sprinkling. Save the sad eyes for the heavier rain coming over the next few days. 😂

Because of YOU, we raised $5,577 for North Texas Giving Day!

We met our goal for winter hay, and we were also able to add funds to our Vet and Farrier Funds. That means so much to us and, most importantly, to the horses.

And now… meet Shasta! Isn’t she beautiful? She is a beautiful mustang, and we’re so happy to have her as part of the Becky’s Hope rescue.

We’ve submitted her tattoo information to the BLM to see if we can learn more about where she came from and get some background on her. We haven’t heard back yet, but we’re really looking forward to finding out more about her story. As soon as we know, we’ll share it with you!

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared our posts, cheered us on, and supported Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue — not just during Giving Day, but throughout the years. We truly could not do this without you.

A LITTLE GIVING DAY HAPPY ENDING!

Red, Justice and Tiny are doing GREAT at their new home! They’re settling in, happily munching on hay, and looking very pleased with their new digs. And honestly, seeing happy endings like this is the icing on the cake!

THIS is what North Texas Giving Day is all about. Your support helps us care for the horses at Becky’s Hope and gives us the ability to find safe, loving forever homes for the horses ready for their next chapter.

And YOU GUYS… we’re at $2,547! WOO HOO!

Thanks to YOU, we’ve raised $850 so far for Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue!

Our first goal is WINTER HAY! We need one full trailer load — 17 round bales delivered for approximately $1,350 — to help feed our animals through the winter.

That means we’re only $500 away from getting those 17 round bales!

And once we reach our hay goal, any additional funds raised will go toward our veterinary and farrier funds. With a herd of horses who need ongoing care, those funds are an essential part of keeping everyone healthy and well cared for.

North Texas Giving Day is September 17th!

We’re sharing an oldie but a goodie—a video featuring Randy Travis and his wife, Mary. We love sharing this one because we’re so grateful for the support and kindness they’ve shown Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue.

This year, our Giving Day goals are simple but important: round bales of hay for the winter, and funds for veterinary and farrier care.

Our herd is mostly seniors now, and they need a little extra care to keep them safe, healthy, and comfortable.

September 17th is North Texas Giving Day !!!

And if you’ve been around Becky’s Hope for a while, you already know… this is a BIG one for us!

North Texas Giving Day is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and this year our biggest goal is making sure these hungry faces have plenty of HAY to get through the winter!

Our animals are mostly seniors at this point, and with age comes a few extra needs. So we’re also working hard to build up our vet and farrier funds to help keep everyone comfortable, healthy and well cared for.

September 17th — let’s fill that hay barn and keep our oldies happy, healthy and spoiled!

And speaking of our oldies… meet Kelly.

Kelly was probably one of the original horses that came with Becky’s Hope. She’s a little pony with a really heartbreaking past. She was severely abused and, over the years, she’s had periods where she would start to trust people, only to retreat back into being very elusive and keeping her distance.

But lately… something has changed. 🥹❤️

Kelly has started walking up to us asking for a little pet on the side of her neck. She still isn’t a fan of having her head touched too much, and that’s okay. We let Kelly set the rules. After all these years, seeing her choose to come to us is a pretty big deal.

I think maybe having a smaller herd and getting a little more one-on-one attention has helped. Whatever it is… we are absolutely thrilled for her.

Sometimes progress is slow, but when it finally happens, it’s pretty darn special.

Happy Labor Day from Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue! 🇺🇸🐴

The horses heard it was Labor Day, so they decided to celebrate by working “very hard”at doing absolutely nothing. They spent the day under the fan, eating snacks, playing in the water, and perfecting the art of relaxation.

We hope you got to work just as hard at not working today too!

Please help us say a big thank you to Bev for donating all these water troughs! Some are already winterized to help keep water from freezing, which is a huge help for our pastures without electricity. We desperately needed these, and we are so grateful! ❤️
