With more & more news about animal predators in our suburban communities (e.g., bobcats & coyotes), it's critical, in the opinion of many of us, that all cats and small dogs be "on leash" and supervised whenever outdoors... even within fenced backyards. For cats, that means "on-harness!"

Our post is an AI description of why many cats respond to harness training by going limp. It also shares how to overcome that response!

We've all seen the somewhat humorous videos of cat-owners trying to get their kitties comfortable with wearing a harness to enable supervised walks and play with their owners outdoors. Some cats do very well with harness training and can, therefore, safely enjoy the great outdoors with their humans. Other kitties positively forget how to stand or walk when they are wearing a harness.

Here are two additional guides on how to harness train your cat:

We're sharing some information for pet owners to ponder. Is laser pointer "play" ok, should it be used infrequently or simply eliminated? Check out the information provided and, you decide!

Alternative games to laser pointer might include considering puzzle treat "balls" as an energetic way to engage your pets! Discover your own ways to provide safe & rewarding-to-your-pet "Catchable prey"! The obvious solution for kitties would have something to do with Churu/Delectables treats... where are our inventor-entrepreneurs out there?!!!
