🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. ❤️

At 1040 Impact, we are deeply grateful for those who gave their lives serving others and defending the freedoms so many around the world still long for today.

Because of sacrifice…
children are being rescued.
families are finding hope.
the Gospel is reaching the unreached.
lives are being changed. 🌎

Today we honor the fallen, remember their courage, and reflect on the cost of freedom.

According to Open Doors’ World Watch List 2026, more than 388 million Christians worldwide face high levels of persecution or discrimination for their faith, including over 315 million living under very high or extreme pressure.

The report also documents 4,849 Christians killed for their beliefs during the reporting period, along with thousands of arrests, church attacks, and forced displacements, particularly in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Advocacy groups say this reality often receives limited global attention.

Despite this persecution, the Church continues to grow, echoing Acts 12:24: “But the word of God grew and multiplied.”❤🙏

Pakistani “Christian” Girl, 14, Dies After Abduction and Suspected Sexual Assault..

A 14-year-old Pakistani Christian girl has died in hospital in Karachi after she was abducted along with her younger sister from their home town in Punjab, Pakistan.

Muqadas Masih and her sister Zarish, eight, were taken from the Christian Town near the city of Sadiqabad while out shopping for groceries on April 15.

The girls were found unconscious by police in Karachi, more than 300 miles away, four days later. Muqadas died just hours after being admitted. Barnabas Aid project partners report that she was likely the victim of r**e.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dr. Marilyn Hickey on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

A faithful servant of God, Marilyn dedicated her life to covering the earth with God's Word--inspiring faith in countless lives.

Though we mourn this loss, we find peace in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord and her ministry will continue for generations to come.

Please join us in praying for her family and loved ones during this time. "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23).

Thousands of people gathering in the heart of the city—worshiping, praying, encountering Jesus. It’s not hype. It’s not a moment.

It’s real.

And we wanted you to feel this with us.

and 237,000 have said YES to Jesus.

Let that sink in for a second.

This is the kind of thing you pray for.
