⚠️ Warning: Graphic Injury
We don’t always share the persecution our staff, orphans, and Christian families face in Pakistan.
You can donate at givebutter.com/1040 thank you.
Much of what they endure is simply too painful to post.
Yesterday, 15-year-old Sam, an orphan working as a slave in a brick kiln, was brutally punished by his owner. The owner believed Sawaal had stopped working to drink too much water while laboring in temperatures exceeding 120°F.
As punishment, the owner forced Sam’s hand into the burning brick kiln fire.
The result is the devastating injury you see here.
This isn’t an accident.
This is targeted persecution, cruelty, and modern-day slavery against vulnerable Christians.
Over the past 180 days, 1040 Impact has helped three burn victims like Sam. We rarely share these stories because they are heartbreaking, gruesome, and difficult to look at. But today, we cannot stay silent.
The good news is this: if we act quickly, doctors believe Sam’s hand can still be saved from amputation.
The medical treatment and surgery will cost $950.
Because of one generous commitment, $200 has already been pledged, leaving $750 still needed.
If God is prompting you to help, please message us within the next 24 hours. Every hour matters, and together we can give this young man the medical care he desperately needs.
Please pray for Sam.
Please pray for protection over our staff serving in Pakistan.
And if you’re able, please help us save his hand.
