Words and not express the joy I felt this weekend.
First, I have been deceiving my sister telling I am going straight to NYC to meet her. But in reality, I was going to DC to ride the train with her to NYC...surprise!! We are going to NY to see Malik's dearest friend, Abigail C. Onwunali perform on New York Broadway
production of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. Malik would have been so proud of her. He would have done the same, and support her anyway necessary. BTW...She was Really Good. The whole play was excellent.
As I walked backstage, I see Abigail. Then, I see Malik's tribe!! Abigail C. Onwunali, Anthony Grace, , JaVaun Butler, Aaron Joseph, Tre Scott, Giovanna Drummond, Alexandra Maurice (please let me know if I missed anyone). Seeing them, feeling the love, and the energy, it felt like Malik was with us. I really needed that.
I was thinking I am celebrating Abigail (I brought her flowers, MJFAF hats, and my sister bought her shirt) and they turned around and gave me a beautiful bracelet with Malik's birthday on it, beautiful flowers, and too many cupcakes! Karma paid me back, but in a good way. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Anthony Grace, Sierra,
Whitney Janell Andrews, Nat Lopez, Abigail C. Onwunali, Anthony Holiday, Brandon JonesMooney, Janiah Lockett, Alexandra Maurice, Michael Allyn, Jada Owens robles
I love them so much!! It means the world to me that you all check on me! Abigail gave me an additional bonus that I was able to meet Taraji P. Henson and Cedric the Entertainer . I expressed to Taraji my need for her guidance for the MJFAF Mental Health. I heard she had other plans, but I was so grateful she took the time out to speak to me before her next event. It was truly an honor. She has definitely a wonderful advocate for her own Foundation, Boris L Henson Foundation Foundation, ' James Tribe
