Deputies Arrest Stabbing Suspect in Prather

Shortly before 9:00 am on Thursday, Fresno County Sheriff’s dispatchers received a call of a stabbing taking place in the parking lot of the Prather Post Office, located at 29460 Auberry Road. Deputies arrived and found a man in his mid-40s with a severe stab wound. A medical helicopter responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Medical personnel have since stabilized his injuries.

Deputies on scene developed information about a possible suspect, 75 year old Theodore Gallegos of Prather. Deputies eventually found Gallegos and placed him under arrest. He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. His bail is set at $20,000.

The investigation shows the two men know each other. They became involved in a fist fight in the parking lot and Gallegos ultimately used a knife to stab the other man.

Although an arrest has been made, if you have additional information about this case, report it by calling the Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111. Tuesday afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, and friendship as our Teens That Care members met their pen pals at Webster Elementary School for the very first time! ❤️

Our teens had a wonderful time getting to know the fifth and sixth grade students they had been corresponding with all year long. It was an afternoon full of creativity, conversation, and connection as they decorated fun trucker hats together.

We are excited to continue this special pen pal program for it's 5th consecutive year in 2026-2027 school year. Thank you to our amazing teens for being such positive role models for the younger students ❣💚💙

🛹✨ Restoring Boards, Creating Smiles ✨🛹

Teens That Care had an incredible time partnering with Fresno Skateboard Salvage to give old skateboards a brand new life!

Our volunteers worked hard cleaning, repairing, and refinishing donated boards—turning them into something truly special. Each skateboard was restored with care, knowing it will soon be in the hands of a child right here in Fresno. 💙

There’s nothing better than taking something old and making it look new again—especially when it means bringing joy to underserved kids in our community. The excitement and pride our teens felt doing this project was amazing to see!

We’re so grateful for partnerships like this that allow us to be creative, give back, and make a real difference. 🛹💫
