Very sad news to report. A stellar member of the Central California advertising industry and the inaugural member of the Central California Advertising and marketing Hall of Fame, Cliff Davis, passed away Saturday, June 18 in Santa Rosa, California, where he lived since 2012. Cliff was a pioneer in Fresno’s advertising industry and a “founding father” and longtime active member of the FAF. He and Norma moved to Santa Rosa so that his son Kip could care for them in their declining years. Cliff will be laid to rest at Fresno Memorial Gardens next to Norma, who died in October 2015. It will be a small private graveside service. The family has asked that memorial donations be directed to the John Reed King Scholarship Fund, c/o Fresno Advertising Foundation, 2913 North Tenth Street, Fresno, California 93703.

RIP Marge Traver – Retired Executive Secretary of the Fresno Advertising Federation. An honorary lifetime member of the Federation, she received the 2005 Betty Riehl Excellence in Service Award at the AAF National Conference and was inducted into the Central California Advertising and Marketing Hall of Fame that same year. Marge passed away at age 90 on March 16.

Congratulations to Paul McDougal, Chairman of the Fresno Ad Foundation, and incoming Board Member Karen Franz for receiving the highest honors at the Fresno Ad Federation Honors luncheon June 20th. Paul is being inducted into the Central California Advertising and Marketing Hall of Fame, and Karen is receiving the prestigious AAF Silver Medal.
