🐾MEET HOUSTON! A BIG BOY WITH A HEART FULL OF LOVE! 🐾

Houston was injured and at risk of euthanasia when the shelter reached out to ARF for help. We said YES, and this sweet boy has been winning hearts ever since!

Houston is about 1 year old, 42 lbs, and possibly a Border Collie mix. His paw has healed, he's neutered, and he's ready for his forever home!

Houston's personality? Sweet, loving, and a total charmer! With a lot of energy

He may do best with a compatible canine companion or someone home most of the time.

He struggles with separation anxiety and may shred blankets when kenneled, so he needs a patient family willing to work with him. He's making great progress at ARF, spending 4–5 hours in our office without disturbing anything and learning to potty outside!

Houston was initially nervous around men, but he's gaining confidence and learning to trust. His favorite friend is Missy, one of ARF's own adopted dogs!

Houston isn't perfect, but he's worth the effort! He needs someone who understands his challenges and will give him the consistency, patience, and love he deserves.

Please note that some contests require an entry fee. All payments will be made at the event only — no payments are due beforehand, and please do not send money to anyone online claiming to collect payments for this event.
Want to help make our event even more special? We're still welcoming donations of raffle prizes and candy! If you'd like to donate, you can drop off your items at ARF tomorrow. Every donation helps us make this event extra special for our community!

SOME GIRLS WEAR THEIR HEARTS ON THEIR SLEEVES… KARI WEARS PINK!

Meet KARI — the tiniest fashionista with a BIG heart and an even bigger dream!

Today, Kari slipped into her itsy-bitsy, teenie pink dress for the very first time to make her grand entrance into the world of finding her forever home! And let us tell you, this little girl is READY for her close-up!

Breed: Terrier (and she would like to clear up that little Chihuahua misunderstanding!

Age: About 1 year old

Weight: Just 13 pounds of sweetness!

Kari is a fun-loving, affectionate girl who gets along wonderfully with her doggie friends and all the volunteers who spend time with her. She's got the personality, the charm, and the adorable pink wardrobe to steal your heart in a heartbeat!
But underneath that cute little dress is a girl who wants something money can't buy:

She doesn't need fancy clothes or a red carpet. She just wants a cozy place to call home, people to love her, and a family who will cherish her until the end of time.

Kari is ready to trade her ARF days for snuggles on the couch, walks with her favorite humans, and a lifetime of being someone's special little girl.

Tawny V, a young, energetic girl with a heart full of love, a tail that never stops wagging, and a serious talent for making people smile!

Her favorite thing in the whole world? PLAYTIME WITH OTHER DOGS! If there’s a doggy playdate happening, count her in! She loves making friends, running around, and being the life of the party. She brings the fun wherever she goes!
But don't let her playful side fool you. She is also a loyal, loving companion who's ready to be your adventure buddy, your walking partner, and your very best couch-snuggling friend. Whether you are exploring the world together or relaxing at home, She will be right by your side.

Her superpowers include:
