🌈 The sidewalks of Downtown Fremont are about to become works of art!

Color the Core invites artists ages 8 and older to create chalk art throughout Main Street while the community explores downtown businesses, activities, music, and more.

Whether you participate solo or as a team, there are prizes up for grabs:
🎨 Youth Winner: $50
🎨 Adult Winner: $100
🎨 Team Winner: $200
🎨 People’s Choice: $100

Because downtown is the core of Fremont — and we want to fill it with creativity, energy, and community.

We had so much fun with Waco City at our Concert in the Park(ing Lot) last night! Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening of great music, food, and community in downtown Fremont. 🎶

A special thank you to theFREMONT FAMILY YMCA for hosting kids activities, and to our food vendors: Nick's Street Eats, Sabor Costeño Food Truck,The Snack Shack, Scouty's Shave Ice, and Taqueria Reinita for keeping everyone fed and refreshed throughout the evening. 🌮🌭

We would also like to recognize James Brestel with Mortenson Construction, who generously provided $2,000 so attendees could enjoy complimentary shaved ice and lemonade from Scouty's Shave Ice throughout the evening. Thank you for helping make the event even more enjoyable for our community! 🍋

Thank you to S-2 Roll-offs, Refuse, and Recycling for sponsoring the restroom and trash services, and to Abe Krasne Home Furnishings for sponsoring complimentary water for attendees. 🗑️🫗

RVR Bank also shared some exciting news with attendees—their new downtown branch building will officially open on July 6th. We're excited to see them move into their new location and continue serving the Fremont community downtown! 🏦

Downtown Fremont recently received new benches, picnic tables, and updated trash cans thanks to a project led by the BID #1. These improvements are designed to make downtown more comfortable, accessible, and inviting for residents and visitors alike.

Waco City takes the stage tonight at Concert in the Park!

Bring your lawn chairs and join us at the Ilgenfritz Parking Lot (4th Street & Park Ave) for a free evening of country hits, food trucks, and family fun in downtown Fremont.

Activities begin at 6:30 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m.

We're looking for local farmers and growers to join the Downtown Fremont Farmers Market this season!

Fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, honey, eggs, jams, baked goods, and other agricultural products are all welcome.

The Downtown Fremont Farmers Market takes place Thursday evenings from July 16th through October 8th in downtown Fremont.

This Thursday, Waco City takes the stage in Downtown Fremont for another fun summer night filled with live music, food trucks, kids activities, and community fun!

Join us at the Ilgenfritz Parking Lot on Park Avenue between 3rd & 4th Streets. 🎶

🕡 Kids Activities begin at 6:30 p.m.

Artists ages 8+ are invited to compete in Downtown Fremont’s chalk art festival this summer! Participants can register as individuals or teams to create original sidewalk chalk artwork throughout Main Street.

🏆 Prize Categories:
1st Place – Youth: $50
1st Place – Adult: $100
1st Place – Team: $200
People’s Choice Award: $100

We chose the name Color the Core because downtown is the heart of our community — and this event is all about filling it with creativity, color, and activity.
