🎉 We’re a day late on Facebook…but we promise we didn’t forget the birthday! 😂

Yesterday was the birthday of our fearless Digg Site President, Lucis Sheridan! 🎂🎬

Lucis brings so much heart, leadership, creativity, and commitment to what we do, and we’re incredibly lucky to have him helping guide The Digg Site and champion opportunities for the next generation of filmmakers and storytellers.

So while the official Facebook celebration may be fashionably late, the birthday wishes are just as enthusiastic. ❤️

Happy belated birthday, Lucis! We’re grateful for you and hope this next trip around the sun is a fantastic one.

Everyone help us give our President a slightly-belated-but-still-very-enthusiastic HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🥳🎥

🎬 GREAT THINGS ARE COMING … and we’re having a VERY hard time keeping them to ourselves! 👀

There’s a whole lot of creativity, community, and movie magic coming your way from The Digg Site!

🏠 COME ON IN! We’re planning a community open house, and you’re invited to see what’s happening, meet the people behind it, and discover how you can get involved.

🎥 SCHOOL’S OUT. CREATIVITY’S ON. Our weekday after-school student studio hours are coming! More space to explore ideas, tell stories, and create something awesome.

🍿 NEXT STOP: THE BIG SCREEN! We’re getting ready for the premiere of Million $ Summer Camp, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

New faces. Big ideas. Stories worth sharing. And YOU belong in the middle of it all. 💛

Dates and details are coming soon! Follow along—and tag someone who should be part of the fun.

And a little good news behind the scenes: we’ve received the first installment of our grant funding from the Nebraska Arts Council! Our programs are getting a later start than we originally anticipated while we waited for funding to arrive, and we’re excited to put that support into action. We’re grateful to the Nebraska Arts Council for helping make this work possible, and to our community for your patience and enthusiasm! 💛

🎉 Happy Birthday to our wonderful board member, Danielle Catron (Dani Marie)! 🎂

Danielle is one of those people who makes the world a little kinder simply by being in it. Giving, generous, and compassionate, she works hard, shows up for others, and is always ready to lend a helping hand. We’re so grateful for the heart she brings to The Digg Site and our community. 💛

Speaking of hard work, we took this picture of Danielle after we'd finished painting and assembling all of our new student desks this summer!

Danielle, we hope today brings you some of the love and care you so freely give to everyone else. You deserve to be celebrated!

Please join us in wishing Danielle a very happy birthday! 🥳

🎉 Please join us in wishing a very happy birthday to Elizabeth Hempstead!

🎬 It takes a community to build opportunities.

Today, our friend Mele Mason, a longtime Nebraska film industry professional, stopped by The Digg Site with another generous donation of production equipment.

Some people don’t just support a mission, they become part of it. Mele has done exactly that.

Every tripod, light stand, case, and piece of gear that finds its way through our doors becomes part of something much bigger. It becomes a tool for a young filmmaker to learn a new skill, tell a story, discover a passion, or see a future they may never have imagined.

This is how communities grow the next generation, not just through financial gifts, but by sharing experience, encouragement, and the tools of the trade.

Mele, thank you for believing in our mission and for continuing to invest in Nebraska’s future storytellers. Your generosity will make a difference for every student who picks up a camera, sets up a light, or discovers that they belong in this industry.

We are incredibly grateful to have you in our corner. ❤️

And to everyone who has supported The Digg Site - whether through donations, volunteering, mentoring, or simply cheering us on - thank you. This organization is growing because of people like you. Together, we’re creating opportunities that will inspire young creatives for years to come.

🎉 Happy Birthday to Stacy Fisher Heatherly, founder of The Digg Site!

The Digg Site began with Stacy’s belief that young people deserve opportunities to explore their creativity, tell their stories, and discover what they are capable of through filmmaking.

Her vision created something truly special—and continues to inspire the work we do today.

Stacy is more than our founder. She is a champion for young people, a creative force, a generous friend, and one of the biggest-hearted people we know.

Please join us in wishing Stacy a very happy birthday and thanking her for planting the seed that became The Digg Site. We love you, Stacy! ❤️🎬
