Calling all Ornament Exchange table hostesses, past and new! 🎄

Have you hosted a table before and want to do it again? Or are you new to the Ornament Exchange and curious what it takes? Here’s what to know:

🎄 What we’ll provide
A table, chairs, and a black tablecloth. We’ll also provide small clear disposable salad plates (to go over your decorative chargers or plates) and nice clear disposable dinner plates for the meal.

🎄 What you’ll bring
✨ Decorations
✨ Dessert for your table
✨ Silverware*, glasses*, napkins, and name settings for each guest

*Tim Crabtree has graciously agreed to let us borrow the silverware, chargers, and glasses again this year, if you’d like to use them for your table.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13, Together We Can is teaming up with Gracious Plates on Main for a Community Day of Giving to support the foster families we serve. We would love for you to join us for a meal!

We’re so grateful for the way our community comes together, and we feel lucky to work alongside small businesses like Gracious Plates. They make it easy to do good while enjoying a great meal.

Here’s how the day works:
🥩 20% off all steak entrees during dinner service
🍽️ BOGO 50% off small plates from 4 to 6 PM
💛 10% of all sales for the day go directly to Together We Can

We’ll also be raffling off a Fall Decor basket valued at $125! It features items from Main Street Gifts in Highlands, NC, and was designed by Marion Events & Weddings. Check out the photo to see what’s inside!

Franklin's 30th Annual PumpkinFest is happening Saturday, October 17 from 9am to 4pm in Downtown Franklin. With many vendors to explore, the World Famous Pumpkin Roll, a costume parade, and food galore, there's something for the whole family.

There's something about this season that reminds us to slow down and be grateful for the people who show up for our kids. From coats and warm meals to a listening ear, it's the everyday love that carries our families through.

Big things happen when someone decides to care. 💛

Actor Christian Bale and his wife, Sibi, just opened a first-of-its-kind foster care village in Palmdale, CA, built specifically to keep foster siblings together. 12 homes, a community center, garden and recreation spaces, and full-time trained foster parents, all under one roof. The village even includes two studio apartments for birth parents working toward family reunification and young adults aging out of the system.

Foster care looks different for every child and every family. Here in WNC, Together We Can is committed to showing up for all of them. Stories like this remind us why the work matters.
