The last 36 hours have been crazy and inspiring and needed. Yesterday at 7am my good friend Susan Frye Outen and I jumped in a car and headed to VA to pick up a new RV. On the way, we were contacted by Dawn at Rosemary Farm. She had gathered 18 saddles and bridles and a ton of other supplies to go to the Jackson’s of Riverside Riding Ranch. The problem was…they needed a way to get it to NC.
Susan and I looked at each other, chuckled and said “well…looks we are on an adventure”. We have been to a beautiful area in the Catskills of NY all day. The RV is full. We haven’t showered and we are in the same clothes we started in. Then we got another call…our team in NJ has said…you already close, you should come here!
Looking forward to seeing Valerie Montecalvo, Rosemary Ryan and Cynthia. These ladies and their large circle of friends have raised over $75k in cash, supplies and gift cards for the people in WNC affected by Helene.
We (Susan Frye Outen, Jenni Wallace, Teresa Mira Knippel, and all the folks at Forca Foundation), are grateful for the community and friends old and new that have gotten together to help in any way they can.
