This weeks fundraising spotlight is on our sweet boy Tiny Tim ❤️🐾

Some dogs just need a little extra time, a little extra patience, and someone who isn’t going to give up on them. Tiny Tim is one of those dogs.

Tim was found as a stray and spent two months in a shelter before someone stepped up to foster him. We imagine he thought he had finally found his place, but just a week later, he was returned. When we heard his story, our hearts broke for him. This little guy had already been through enough.

Tim is a sensitive soul. Trust doesn’t come easily for him, and we knew he needed more than just another place to land. He needed a safe place where nobody was going to rush him, expect too much of him, or give up because he needed a little extra time.

So we brought him to the farm. ❤️ And little by little, we’ve been getting glimpses of the sweet, adorable little guy hiding underneath all that uncertainty. It hasn’t happened overnight, but those baby steps mean the world to us.

That’s what Four Dogs is all about. Sometimes it’s not about finding an animal a new home. It’s about giving them a place to call home, where they can finally just be themselves.

A place where they can take all the time they need to feel safe, loved, and wanted.

❤️ THIS WEEK’S FUNDRAISER SPOTLIGHT: BUDDY!!! ❤️

Everyone’s favorite three-legged, 16-year-old grandpa! 🐾☀️

Buddy came to us after his owner passed away. He’s the dad of Phil, grandpa to Lil Lily, and brother to Peku, who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. ❤️ When we learned that these four were going to be separated, our hearts broke. They had already lost their beloved owner and the home they’d always known. We just couldn’t bear the thought of them losing each other, too. We never planned on taking four, but sometimes your heart makes the decision for you. ❤️

At 16, and with only three legs, you might expect Buddy to slow down. But not this guy! He loves being outside, exploring and running around. When the weather is nice, you’ll usually find him soaking up the sunshine. ☀️ Otherwise, he’s a pretty chill, independent guy who enjoys an occasional cuddle.

We are so happy Buddy is part of our family and that we can give him a place to call home, where he can keep doing all his favorite things for as long as possible. That’s what it’s all about. A safe, loving home where our seniors can simply enjoy being dogs, surrounded by love.

Last week Phil went with me to visit one of my absolute favorite people ❤️ Vanessa Enchanting Reflections and he was such a good boy while listening to us chat away ☺️. He even got chicken nuggets as a treat for being so well behaved (although we all know he would have gotten them anyway 😉). Thats my Phil 🥰🐾

This weeks fundraiser spotlight is on our very sweet and adorable 15 yr old man, Ozzy 🥰

Some dogs simply need someone to notice them. Ozzy spent almost a year in a shelter. Think about that. Almost a year of waiting, which is a long time for any dog, but especially at his age 💔

Luckily one very kind woman noticed how long he had been there and reached out for help. With a team of great people (Shelter to Sofa Animal Talk ) working together, Ozzy finally got his chance. And he hasn’t looked back.

Today, Ozzy is living his life here at Four Dogs. He’s safe. He’s loved. And he’s enjoying his life on the farm ❤️ Sometimes all it takes is one person noticing.

One person saying: “This dog shouldn’t spend another day waiting.” That’s how rescue works. One animal. One person. One second chance.

Slip & I had such a great time at the Rhode Island SPCA Paws in the Park this weekend! ❤️

Even though it was a bit chilly, Slip was a great little helper at our table, showing off his new froggie sweatshirt 🐸 and making sure he stayed nice and cozy under his blankets! ☺️ Thankfully, the sun came out, and he got to enjoy a little walk around, meet some wonderful people, and collect LOTS of pets along the way. 🥰 By the end of the day he couldn’t even keep his eyes open (see video 🥰).
