🚨Please share. We would ask that our baseball field is used for baseball/softball and other activities as approved by our Rec and Parks Dept.
Although a public space, we would kindly ask please do not ride bicycles, walk dogs, or other activities that damages or results in extra work to restore the conditions of the field that is outside the daily maintenance needed to maintain a property such as a baseball field. There is a lot of daily work to maintain a property such as a baseball field people do not see or realize.
Although maybe appearing to be harmless, of low significance, and would hope that there was no intention of deliberate damage or vandalism in this situation, please be mindful of the importance of using all our properties for their intended purpose. We have other spaces in town to be able to ride bike, walk dogs, or other. These types of activities prove to be counterproductive in the maintenance of a baseball field.
A lot of hard work goes into the maintenance of
this field and with collaboration with the local school dept and university to invest in this property for the improvement of all of our programs. As stated above, we are confident there was no ill intent here, but even these alterations to the field will result in added time and work in order to restore it to its previous, safe, condition.
Your cooperation is appreciated and feel it is important to put out this public announcement for education purposes and getting people on the same page of the common goal of making our community better each day!!! Thank you!
If there are any questions, feel free to contact the FKRP Director Brad Holabird at 834-3730. Thanks again and have a great weekend everyone!
