Check this OUT!! Today is the day the local Recovery High School opens...

and TONIGHT is Wellbriety at 7p!

It's been a little over 3 years since Michael left us.

In those 3 years, we've participated in all and every effort to bring stigma & barrier free recovery care to our community. We've seen the successful opening of our recovery center in 2024, men's house in 2025, and now, in 2026, we will witness the first of its kind recovery high school - which will be located on UMFK Campus. This is such a unique idea and it has the potential to be the catalyst for so much healing and the return in investment will be community altering.

As we continue our efforts to create safe & welcoming spaces for people who need support, we get so very excited when our community comes up with other solutions. This is a HUGE undertaking and we've been able to witness the hard work, the countless hours, the meetings, the conversations, the funding obstacles.

But because of Brooke's heart and her dogged determination to support the most vulnerable teens in our communities, it's here and it's happening TODAY.

The more people who are willing to work with our youth and support their needs instead of judge their struggles, the stronger our community will be.

We (as an organization) are not done growing our support efforts, either.

Our next goal is to create some FREE after school programming for our youth. While that goal is big and we have a ways to go, this recovery high school will lay the ground work and start the conversations.

Stigma is a roadblock to recovery.
Shame isn't a healthy place to sit in.
Punishment is the opposite of prevention.
Inclusive spaces are welcoming and healing; but they are also substance free.

As we work to create a community where it's safe to raise a family, safe to ask for help, safe to exist as we are, safe to flourish; it also has to be safe to recover.

Much work to be done, friends- but in just shy of 3 years since our first ever fundraiser- we are on this other side looking back and we are so grateful for the support of the people along the way.

We are grateful for the people who take the time to read the things, watch the videos, attend the meetings, advocate for those who don't know how, speak up for those who don't have a voice and educate themselves on the importance of recovery ready communities- you are all the reason why we can still exist.

Good luck today to all the teachers and staff heading back into our schools today. We see you and know how valuable you are.

And to all our kiddos: We love you, no matter what.
