Come learn about birds!
Our 2026 Birding Workshop is coming up on Saturday, June 13, 8:00--10:00 AM. Meet us in the Lodge.
We'll start with an introductory session in the Lodge with Amanda DeMusz, Regional Wildlife Resource Supervisor with the Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Then head out on the trails with bird enthusiast, Shawn Morneault.
The workshop is free, but please register, so we have a headcount for planning purposes. Contact Laura Audibert at [email protected].

FKOC Venue Cleanup Accomplishments--Thank You!!

We accomplished our goals and more!
Our two recent Venue Cleanup Sessions were very successful and had record attendance (25+ people)! The place is looking pretty spiffy. Thank you to everyone who came out and lent a hand.

Among some of our accomplishments, we:
-Put out the picnic tables;
-Swept and collected shell casings on the range;
-Weeded the shrub and flower beds in front of the lodge;
-Raked the leaves;
-Spread new wood chips in the beds;
-Swept the walkway;
-Cleared all the Mtn Bike Trails of blowdowns and debris;
-Brushed back some snowshoe trails;
-Put out Disc Golf benches, tee signs and trash cans;
-Stained new Disc Golf benches;
-Picked up litter along our access road and parking lot;
-Pruned high branches on the Grand Outlook ski trail;
-Mothballed winter equipment;
-Prepared lawn mowers and mini-excavator for summer work.

We are grateful to see so many volunteers come out to support us and make our venue shine!

THANK YOU!!
