Poudre River Friends of the Library We are library lovers and community volunteers who have fun donating our time to support Poudre Libraries in Northern Colorado. What Do We Do?

Become a member of the Friends, volunteer, donate, shop, engage, or just follow along - we’re happy to have you! We raise money for the libraries by selling used books at our four big book sales and at our Harmony Shop and our Old Town Library Nook all year long. How Do Friends of the Library Make a Difference? We contribute thousands of dollars (nearly $850,000 since 2008!) from book sale proceed

s every year to our libraries to help fund programs and events, which have included:
• Summer Reading Program
• Visiting author series (with CSU Friends of the Library)
• Fort Collins Reads community book program
• History Comes Alive speakers
• Cultural awareness and celebrations
• Harmony Music in the Round concert series
• Books for book club kits
• National Poetry Month
• Kevin Cook nature programs
• Library/literary conference scholarships for library staff and teens
AND MUCH MORE! How Can You Help?
• Become a member

• Help sort books for our book sales
• Join our Friends’ Board of Directors
• Donate your used books to the Friends

Our Purpose:

• To raise money to enhance and support the resources of the Poudre River Public Library District
• To provide volunteer opportunities in support of the Library
• To advocate for the Poudre River Public Library District
• To sponsor programs to promote use and enjoyment of the Library
• To encourage literacy within the community

The Poudre River Friends of the Library are devastated to hear the news of Dolly Parton’s passing.

Dolly was a one-of-a-kind human, and she was a FIERCE library advocate as well! Her Imagination Library has donated hundreds of millions of free books to children across America and beyond. Her loss will be felt across the country - may she rest in peace and continue to be an inspiration to us all! 💕

Thanks to our incredible community, little old (and like-new!) used books are helping bring this new space to life. Poudre Libraries has launched public fundraising for the new Southeast Community Center, and we’re excited to officially share that we’ve pledged $100,000 to this future space!

Poudre Libraries has launched the public phase of its $2 million Your Library Amplified campaign, raising funds to expand services and amenities at the new southeast Fort Collins library scheduled to open in 2028.
