Gospelink

Gospelink Connecting God's people to advance the Gospel. www.gospelink.org It is our conviction that the local church is God’s instrument of change.

Our History
In 1998, the Lord led Lewis and Leah Nelms to start Gospelink in Wrens, GA, with the vision to link sponsoring individuals, families, churches, and groups with church-planting preachers in other nations. Today, Gospelink is sponsoring over 1,250 national preachers serving in Africa, Asia, and Eurasia. In 20 years, Gospelink preachers have led 7.6 million people to profession of faith i

n Christ and planted 44,324 churches. Our Mission
The mission of Gospelink is to connect the church globally for the purpose of gospel ministry. We diligently seek out national Christian leaders who are actively involved in local church ministry. After determining credibility through our application process, we then locate churches and individuals who would like to work alongside them. We want to leverage the potential of the global church by providing the link between the national leader and their ministry partners. Our Focus
We believe that the gospel has not only eternal implications, but also present applications; it is holistic and, by its very nature, changes everything about our lives now and for eternity. With this belief at the forefront of everything we do, we partner with the global church to transform lives and communities through the redemptive and transforming power of the gospel.

The Great Commission isn’t only for those who cross oceans—it’s for every believer.

Around the world, faithful local pastors and church planters are proclaiming Christ, discipling believers, and planting churches in places many of us may never visit. Through Gospelink, we have the opportunity to come alongside them through prayer, encouragement, and generous support.

When God equips local believers to reach their own communities, the Gospel continues to spread from village to village and generation to generation.

Let’s pray that Christ would continue to build His Church among every nation, tribe, people, and language.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19

The Chifundo Rural Health Center was built in 2008 on the campus of Ambassador International University in Rufunsa District, Zambia, originally meant as a basic first aid clinic for students and staff. When it was licensed to open in 2013, the surrounding community's need became clear fast: 250 patients treated in the first month alone, over 1,000 a month by December. Gospelink later added a fully functioning operating room, completed in 2017.

We are thankful to serve in this work to see Jesus transform lives in Zambia.

The Mzuzu Crisis Nursery in Malawi cares for infants in crisis situations, where poverty means families can't afford formula or basic supplies a newborn needs. Since 2006, it's supported 250 babies. Gospelink came alongside this work in 2020.

MIJI just wrapped up in Tabatinga, Brazil. 🇧🇷

Three years ago, a handful of Indigenous pastors and leaders started dreaming about reaching the next generation — young people leaving their villages for the cities, many losing their footing along the way, some walking away from the faith altogether.

That dream became Conplei Jovem. Then it became international. This year, MIJI gathered Indigenous youth from across the Americas for four days of worship, teaching, and vision-casting around one calling: engage, empower, and encourage the rising generation of Indigenous believers to become church planters in their own right.

Green Window Initiative, now a ministry of Gospelink has walked alongside this movement from the beginning — and we're grateful to have stood with Conplei, FarLands, and our other partners to see it come to life.

This is what it looks like when the Gospel turns a mission field into a mission force.

250 Years of Sending 🇺🇸✝️

As America marks 250 years, we’re also celebrating the missionary legacy of the men and women this nation has sent to the ends of the earth for the sake of the gospel.

1812 — Adoniram and Ann Judson set sail for Burma as America’s first foreign missionaries. Adoniram endured 21 months in a Burmese prison and went on to complete the first full Burmese translation of the Bible.

1873 — Lottie Moon left for China, where she served for nearly 40 years. The annual missions offering that bears her name continues to support missionaries around the world.

1956 — Jim Elliot and four teammates gave their lives seeking to reach the Waodani people of Ecuador. Their sacrifice became one of the defining missionary stories of the 20th century.

1976 — Loren Cunningham and Youth With A Mission (YWAM) had already begun mobilizing hundreds of thousands of ordinary believers for short-term missions around the world.

For 250 years, America has been blessed in countless ways. Among those blessings is a legacy of sending men and women who carried the gospel far beyond our shores.

May God continue to raise up laborers for His harvest until every nation, tribe, people, and language has heard.

What makes a church plant last?

After 28 years of ministry across 20 countries, we've learned that healthy church planting depends on three things:

• Local leadership before the missionary leaves. (That's why we start with national leaders!)
• Financial sustainability.
• Faithful doctrine that survives translation and culture.

Miss one, and the church plant becomes fragile.

The most effective missionary is often already there. They already know the language. They know the culture. They just need the support to go full-time.

That's the Gospelink model — connecting sponsors with national preachers already embedded in faithful ministry in their communities.

One of the simplest ways to join global church planting is to support the people already there—serving in their own language and culture.

Gospelink’s National Preacher Sponsorship exists to help partners come alongside church planters with monthly support, with a goal of $200/month per preacher.
