The flooding over the weekend brought back a lot of emotions that many of us have tried so hard to work through since Hurricane Helene. For some, the sound of heavy rain and rising water is no longer just weather, it’s a trigger, a reminder of fear, loss, and uncertainty.

PTSD after a disaster is real, and days like these can reopen wounds that people can’t always see. If you’ve felt anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or on edge this weekend, please know you are not alone.

Healing is not linear, and our communities are still carrying the weight of what we lived through. Praying for everyone impacted by the flooding, for the first responders, and for every person silently battling the emotional aftermath storms now bring.
