New keys, new beginnings!

We are thrilled to celebrate one of our neighbors receiving the keys to their new home through Renew NC! After the hardships of Hurricane Helene, this milestone represents renewed hope, stability, and a place to call home. ❤️

After the devastation of Hurricane Helene, finding a safe and stable place to call home is an important step toward recovery. We’re thankful to Renew NC and all the partners working alongside us to help families move forward.

Rutherford Long Term Recovery Group is hosting a Winter Coat Drive, and we need your help! A warm coat can make a big difference for a neighbor facing hardship this winter.

Please consider donating a new or gently used, clean winter coat, socks, hats, or gloves for a child, teen, or adult. Your generosity can help our neighbors stay warm and feel supported.

Be aware and stay safe!

UPDATE: The highway is now open.

Notice: Hwy 74A/64/9 between downtown Chimney Rock Village and Bat Cave is temporarily closed due to high water. NCDOT and Wright Brothers Construction are on the scene checking for damage. The Village is open with access from the east through Lake Lure. Good to see the sunshine!
