🇺🇸❤️ Happy Flag Day from Honor Flight DFW! ❤️🇺🇸

Today we proudly honor the Stars and Stripes, the enduring symbol of our nation’s freedom, strength, sacrifice, and unity.

🇺🇸 On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the first official American flag. For nearly 250 years, Old Glory has flown over battlefields, military installations, schools, homes, government buildings, and places of remembrance, representing the courage and determination of generations of Americans.

⭐ The 50 stars represent our 50 states.
🔴⚪ The 13 stripes honor the original 13 colonies that fought for independence and formed the United States of America.

For our military members and veterans, the American flag is far more than a piece of cloth. It represents the brothers and sisters who stood beside them in service, the sacrifices made in defense of freedom, and the memories of those who never returned home. It symbolizes duty, honor, courage, commitment, and the oath they took to protect our nation and its citizens.

Many veterans have saluted this flag in times of peace and war, carried it into battle, watched it draped over the caskets of fallen comrades, and stood proudly as it waved over the land they swore to defend. To them, Old Glory tells the story of service, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of America.

Today, Honor Flight DFW proudly honors all who have worn our nation’s uniform and the flag they served so faithfully.

Please take a moment to display your flag, teach a young person its meaning, and remember the brave men and women who have defended it throughout our nation’s history.

🇺🇸💜 Today, on Women’s Recognition Day, Honor Flight DFW proudly honors the incredible American service women who have worn our nation’s uniform with courage, strength, and dedication. 💜🇺🇸

From the battlefields to the home front, from past generations to those serving today, women have answered the call to serve our country with honor and sacrifice. Their contributions have helped protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

To all of our women veterans and active-duty service members: THANK YOU. ❤️🤍💙 Your service, resilience, and commitment to our nation inspire us all. We are forever grateful for the sacrifices you and your families have made.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your service, your strength, and your unwavering love of country. It is our privilege to honor you.

A very special thank you to FW & P for your outstanding support and the amazing music that kept the celebration going! 🎶🎸🇺🇸 You helped create memories that will last a lifetime.

One of the highlights of the night was having one of our honored guests, a 100-year-young WWII Veteran and Honor Flight DFW Alumni, join us. 🇺🇸⭐ Even more special, he was surrounded by four generations of family as he brought along his son, grandson, and great-grandson. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do and why preserving these stories matters so much. ❤️

Thank you all for standing with our nation’s heroes and helping us honor the Greatest Generation and all who have served. We couldn’t do it without this amazing community!

The longest day… and the loudest night… but this Korean War veteran is still grooving at 92 years young! 🇺🇸🎶❤️

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support Honor Flight DFW. Your generosity, patriotism, and love for our nation’s heroes help make these unforgettable experiences possible for the veterans who sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Watching our 92-year-old Korean War veteran light up the room with a smile and a dance reminds us that the spirit of America’s heroes never grows old.

🇺🇸 82 years ago, on D-Day, thousands of brave Americans and Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, forever changing the course of history. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom gave us the liberties we enjoy today.

At Honor Flight DFW, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to honor those heroes and all of the men and women who have served our nation. Every handshake, every story, and every smile reminds us that freedom has never been free.

Today, we pause to remember the fallen, celebrate the survivors, and thank every veteran who answered the call to serve. Your legacy continues to inspire generations.

On June 6, the anniversary of D-Day, we invite you to join us for The Longest Day, The Loudest Night, a special evening celebrating the Honor Flight DFW family and the mission that we all cherish.

The evening will feature the fantastic sounds of FW&P, whose gritty Americana style blends blues, rock, country, and soul. They are generously donating their talent and energy to help send veterans currently on the Honor Flight DFW waiting list to Washington, D.C.

Take a listen and see for yourself why they're supporting our mission, and why their music has become such a favorite with Honor Flight supporters.

This is more than a fundraiser.

D-Day marked one of the most significant moments in our nation's history and serves as a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Greatest Generation. Their legacy continues to inspire everything we do at Honor Flight DFW.

It's an opportunity to reconnect with fellow veterans and volunteers, share stories, celebrate friendships, and reflect on the impact Honor Flight has had on so many lives.
