We had so much yesterday at Florence Regional Arts Alliance's W**e Walk celebration featuring plein air painters. The painters each had a finished piece of art in the Gallery for viewing. And then, even more special, they were outside FRAA plein air painting for several hours. And the sun came out!

Thanks to all who participated including one painter from Washington State who is registered for our upcoming Coastal Plein Air Art & W**e Festival and was in town scoping out good places to paint in Florence. The painters for this event are painting between September 2 and 17th from Lincoln City to Bandon, so you might see them at the Coast or on a lake or park or ... so many options.

Then come join us at our Coastal Plein Air Art & W**e Festival at the Florence Events Center. Open Reception is Friday, September 18th, 5-7:30 pm and then the W**e and Art Festival is September 19th, 11am-5pm, and September 20th, 11 am-4pm.

We hope you can join us and celebrate the beautiful artwork of plein air painting and the beauty of our Coastal Oregon locations.

Join us this Saturday as we celebrate Art in Florence with three events to immerse your artist self in! Two gallery happenings: At FRAA watch Plein Air artists painting, while at Backstreet there will be writers and assemblage artists. And then travel to the artists studio to take part in the Elements of Art Studio Tour.

Our Coastal Plein Air Event is happening!

Since the late 1800s, when tube paints first allowed artists to become mobile with their painting, Plein Air painting has inspired artists over the centuries, including Monet and van Gogh.

Mark your calendars for the 1st annual KXCR Community Radio “Original Art Postcard Fundraising Exhibition.” Local artists have created stunning works of art available by donation. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd, at the FRAA Creative Arts Center, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
