🦛We are so grateful to Fred Meyer Jewelers for another year of generously donating stuffed animals to support our work. These cuddly hippos may seem small, but they bring comfort, peace, and a sense of safety to children experiencing a crisis. We are incredibly grateful to share that Western Lane Crisis Association has received a significant grant from the Oregon Community Foundation! 💙

This funding will go directly toward supporting operations and essential supplies for Western Lane Crisis Response, allowing us to continue providing timely, compassionate crisis services to our community when they are needed most.

The Oregon Community Foundation does amazing work across the state by investing in local solutions, strengthening communities, and supporting organizations that make a real difference in people’s lives. The holidays can be a beautiful season… but they can also stir up memories and emotions that weigh a little heavier this time of year. Please know you don’t have to carry it alone.

PeaceHealth grief support group will be meeting next Tuesday at Lane Community College at 2:00 PM, and it’s a welcoming place to share, listen, and simply breathe with others who understand.

This Thanksgiving, we are thankful for a community that believes in supporting one another through compassion, service, and connection.

To our donors, local partners, volunteers, and every community member who stands behind the mission of strengthening mental health support in Western Lane—your support truly matters. Because of you, programs like Western Lane Crisis Response continue to grow, reach more people, and provide help when it’s needed most.

As we celebrate today, let’s also remember that the holidays can be difficult for some. No one needs to be alone. The Kiwanis and the Florence Elks are hosting a free Thanksgiving dinner at the Elks Lodge on 12th Street—a place to share a warm meal and enjoy community together.
