Our Scouts were out in full force today, proving that "Helping Other People at All Times" isn't just a slogan—it’s a Troop tradition! It was a triple-header day of community impact, and we couldn't be prouder of the hard work and heavy lifting the scouts did today.

Check out all our scouts accomplished today:
• 📦 ShareTheWill Foundation Move-In: We kicked things off by helping our friends at ShareTheWill transition into their brand-new service center. Many hands made for light work as we moved furniture and supplies to help them get settled into their new home.
• 🍿 Popcorn Summer Kickoff: Next, we swung by to support the Capitol Area Council for their Summer Popcorn Kickoff! We’re excited to help get the season started so we can continue to fund amazing adventures for our Scouts.
• 🪑 The Final Delivery: To wrap up the day, we personally delivered a chair donated by ShareTheWill to a community member in need. Seeing the direct impact of a simple act of kindness was the perfect way to finish our service marathon.

Huge shoutout to the Scouts for showing up and showing out. You guys truly embody the spirit of the Scout Oath.👏💪

Our scouts just returned from an incredible weekend at the San Gabriel District "Survivor" Camporee, and it’s safe to say they did more than just survive—they thrived! 🏕️💪
From fire-building challenges to teamwork-testing trials, our scouts put their scout skills into practice and had a blast doing it. The weekend was a fantastic reminder of what scouting is all about: camaraderie, resilience, and a bit of dirt under the fingernails.
A special shoutout goes to the Spartan Patrol, who truly demonstrated their mastery of the craft. Their first aid knowledge and sharp 🪓 scout skills earned them TWO Totems to bring back to the Troop! We are proud of every scout who participated, helped their fellow scouts and made memories that will last much longer than the Cracker Barrel snacks. It isn’t just about the awards; it was about seeing our scouts grow!

Medals: Earned. 🥇🥉
Troop 1096 took on the Central Texas Spring-O this weekend and came home with some serious hardware! We are incredibly proud of our orienteering teams for securing Gold and Bronze in two different P2P categories. 🌲🧭
Beyond the medals, it was a great weekend of learning, navigating, and enjoying the outdoors together. Proud of every scout who stepped up to the challenge!

From mastering the map and compass for the Orienteering Merit Badge to crushing the P2P and Zig Zag courses, our Scouts were unstoppable. They even braved the woods after dark for the Night O! 🔦 Central Texas Spring-O is awesome! ✨

The trailers are unhooked, the tents are up, and the spirit is high. Troop 1096 has officially arrived at Lost Pines Scout Reservation! ⛺✨
We’ve spent the evening setting up camp under the tall pines and getting our gear dialed in. The air is crisp, the kitchen is prepped, and the scouts are locked in for a big day ahead.
Tomorrow, we take on the Central Texas Spring O!

⚜️ Teamwork in Action! ⚜️
Tonight’s Troop 1096 meeting was a masterclass in cooperation and high-energy problem solving! Our Scouts dove headfirst into some challenging (and hilarious) teamwork activities that required serious coordination.

Scouting is about more than just the great outdoors; it’s about building the bonds and communication skills that turn a group of individuals into a patrol. Great job to everyone who showed up and gave it 100% tonight! 👏

Maximum Pedal Power! 🚵🏼‍♂️❄️
The air definitely has a chill today, but that’s not stopping the scouts of Troop 1096!
They are geared up, layered up, and officially hitting the trail for a 7-mile bike ride. From checking tire pressure to cinching helmet straps, these scouts are ready to crush these next two ride requirements for the cycling merit badge.
Nothing beats a little two-wheeled adventure to start the weekend right. Let’s go, 1096!

❄️ Troop 1096 just wrapped up an unforgettable campout at Expedition Sol Mayer Winter Camp 2025. From freezing temperatures to warm campfires, these scouts showed incredible grit and teamwork.
We’re heading home with dirty boots, tired smiles, and stories that will last a lifetime. Huge thanks to the staff at Sol Mayer for the hospitality! 🏕️💪
