It is hard to believe that our beloved Children's Garden of Flagstaff will be 9 years old in May.
Our beloved garden needs some loving care
❤️
Your donation will help us:
Replant under the memorial wall.

Repair the worn walking path.
Seasonal maintenance.

Today is Arizona Gives Day! And I hope you all will participate in this amazing day to help statewide non-profit organizations continue to do the VERY important work they are doing in our state.
I also hope you will consider giving to JLB Project. Many of you know that I started JLB Project in 2007 after the death of our second son to try and make the journey of being a bereaved parent not so lonely. Since 2007 we have gone on to help hundreds of families at their time of loss and continue to support them in the days, months, and years that followed.
We built the Children's Garden of Flagstaff to give families, friends, and our community a place to celebrate and remember all of our babies and children who left us too soon. I am sure that many of you have sat on the boulders and wandered the path at the Children's Garden. As you know it gets A LOT OF love throughout the year and with that love comes wear. This year the garden needs a new tree, some pavers replaced and fixed, and the path needs some TLC.
Your donation will help us continue to make the Children's Garden of Flagstaff a treasure for our mountain town. You can donate by visiting Arizona Gives website and searching JLB Project or click here:

Let’s light up the night for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day… Light a candle where ever you are from 7 pm - 8 pm creating a wave of light around the world in honor of all of our babies gone too soon.

10/08/2023

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Month and October 15th Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. We remember and honor all of our families during this month and throughout the year. ❤️

"Tens of thousands of families across the United States are devastated each year by the death of their baby. But the grief of these families and the value of their babies’ lives are very rarely acknowledged. In 1988, US President Ronald Reagan declared October as a month to recognize the unique grief of bereaved parents in an effort to demonstrate support to the many families who have suffered such a tragic loss. Promoting awareness of pregnancy and infant loss not only increases the likelihood that grieving families will receive understanding and support, but also results in improved education and prevention efforts which may ultimately reduce the incidence of these tragedies." -Star Legacy Foundation

Happy Birthday JLB ❤️

You would have been 17 today.

You were born on a Thursday.

Today is Thursday.

That day feels so real and so recent some days and other times it feels like a dream. Your presence is so much apart of our lives though. In the quiet of the morning I often think of you, the lessons I have learned from your birth and your death and the way you cracked my heart open and showed me how to love in a way I had never known.
You make me a better person, I believe you make us all better. Jack and Olivia know compassion, empathy, and kindness in a way that only you could have taught them. Your dad would say that in a way you saved his life and over time you have helped guide our path forward.
I carried my grief of your loss so heavily for many, many years. Life handed me circumstances that allowed me to slowly ease out of my grief and into a space of deep appreciation and acceptance.
Today and every day I want to honor your life in the way I move through my own. I would still choose you even if I knew how short our time together would be, how shattered our world would become before we learned to piece it back together.
My life is greater because of you.
Happy Birthday my sweet boy…
I love you with all of my heart ♥️ Mom
