Today, we mourn the loss of the incomparable Dolly Parton, a legendary artist, humanitarian and longtime ally to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Dolly led with kindness, celebrated people for exactly who they are and reminded the world that love should always be louder than judgment.

“If you’re gay, you’re gay. If you’re straight, you’re straight. And you should be allowed to be how you are and who you are.” — Dolly Parton

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, the sparkle and the love you shared so generously with the world.

Rest in power, Dolly. Your light will shine forever. 🦋🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✨

Honoring Navajo Code Talkers Day 🇺🇸🪶💬✨

Today, we honor the bravery, skill, and legacy of the Navajo Code Talkers — the Diné warriors whose unbreakable code 📡🔒 played a vital role in securing victory during World War II 🌍⚔️. Their language 🗣️, culture 🪶, and courage 💪🏽 not only protected our freedoms but continue to inspire generations 🌟.

We recognize the resilience of Indigenous peoples 🌄, including our 2SLGBTQIA+ Diné community members 🌈🫶🏽, whose stories and contributions are essential to our shared history 📖.

Ahéhee’ (thank you) 🙏🏽💖 to the Navajo Code Talkers — your voices will never be forgotten 📡🪶✨.

A Message from Flagstaff Pride

Our hearts are with the LGBTQIA+ community in Berlin following the tragic events during Christopher Street Day.

What should have been a day of joy, visibility, and celebration was forever changed by an act of violence. We mourn the life that was lost and send our love and support to everyone who was injured, affected, or left carrying the weight of this tragedy.

Moments like these remind us why Pride exists. It is about building communities where everyone can live authentically, love freely, and feel safe being exactly who they are. When one Pride community hurts, we all feel that loss.

Today, we stand alongside the organizers of Berlin CSD, the volunteers, first responders, and every member of Berlin’s LGBTQIA+ community. Your strength, courage, and resilience remind us that hate will never define who we are.

From Flagstaff to Berlin, we remain united in our commitment to creating a world rooted in love, acceptance, and belonging.

We grieve together. We stand together. And together, we continue moving forward with Pride.

Today, we pause to honor Sgt. Angel Rampersad, an LGBTQ+ servicemember who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Our hearts are with her family, friends, fellow servicemembers, and all who knew and loved her. May her courage, compassion, and commitment to protecting others never be forgotten.

LGBTQ+ people have always served our nation with honor, bravery, and integrity. Today, we remember Sgt. Rampersad and all who have given their lives in service to our country.

🏳️‍🌈🇺🇸 Rest in peace, Sgt. Angel Rampersad

We’re saddened to learn a member of our LGBTQ+ community was among the U.S. servicemembers killed in the Iran war last weekend.

Sgt. Angel Rampersad’s family described her as a “gentle giant,” a “defender and friend,” and said she “stood up for those who couldn’t fight for themselves.” We honor Sgt. Rampersad, who made the ultimate sacrifice, and our hearts are with her family, friends, neighbors, and Ozone Park community.

Every day, LGBTQ+ servicemembers like her continue to serve this nation with courage, distinction, and honor—even as military leaders attempt to erase their service, question their dignity, and shame them out of the ranks.

We owe them more than gratitude—we owe them a military worthy of their sacrifice.
