🎉 Student Takeover Day! 🎉

On Friday, some very special students got to take over the school for the day!

These students earned the most money in their classes during our fundraiser, and their prize was getting to be Teacher for the Day, plus one very special student got to be Principal for the Day! 👏

They did a great job and we hope they had as much fun as we did seeing them in their new roles!

Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you again to all who donated to help support DeMiguel!

Thanks NAU Women’s Basketball team for being the best cheerleaders EVER! The kids loved having you there to get them warmed up and to cheer them along as they DASHED! 🪓 🐾

Wow friends, we blew away our goals by more than DOUBLE and set a new record for DASH fundraising!

Thank you to our business sponsors for their generosity, who helped our school raise an additional $20,000+! We quite literally could not do this without you!

We’ll celebrate with a pep assembly this Friday at 8:15 AM in the gym, where we’ll announce the winners of Student Takeover Day! All winning families will be notified directly by tomorrow, 9/29.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible parent volunteers and community partners who showed up in a big way for our kids. Whether you were there to cheer on our runners or helping to refill waters and pickup trash, you are part of what makes DeMiguel so special. ❤️

And to our amazing community partners who came together to support our students: thank you for showing up for our kids and for helping create the kind of special moments that make Flagstaff and DeMiguel such an incredible community.

It truly takes a village, and our village showed up BIG.

To our sponsors- this event is not possible without you and we cannot wait to share more about each of your businesses!

Thank you for making the DASH a day our kids will remember!

September Teacher Appreciation. If you give a teacher an apple, they’re gonna want some caramel to go with it! And Peanuts, and Oreos, and chocolate, and sprinkles!

The DeMiguel Dash is almost here! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Sept. 24 is Dash Day, and Sept. 25 is the LAST DAY TO DONATE!

But the big question is… WHO will be our next Teachers for a Day? And who will take over as Principal for a Day? 👑 The top earner in each class gets to be the teacher, while the top earner overall gets the principal’s job! 😎
