Hot take: your sauna might not need a better view. It might need less of one.
We love a beautiful view as much as anyone. But somewhere along the way, the floor-to-ceiling glass wall became shorthand for a “dream sauna”—and we’d like to make a case for the opposite.
A smaller window can mean less distraction. Less exposure. Less light. More privacy. More ease in your body. More attention to what’s happening inside.
Sauna isn’t only about what happens physically. It’s a retreat from the noise, stimulation and performance of everyday life. Sometimes darkness is part of that retreat.
You don’t always need something beautiful to look at. Sometimes the point is to stop looking outward altogether.
And that gorgeous view?
It’ll still be there when you step outside.
