It was formed in 1934 and was accepted as a regional organization by the Scottish Terrier Club of America in the early 1940s. The Washington State Scottish Terrier Club membership is made up of Scottie fanciers involved with Scotties at many levels. Some are owners, breeders, AKC judges, dog show exhibitors, rescue workers, Obedience, Earthdog and Agility participants. As varied as the member's in
terests are, the common bond among them all is the love for this special breed. Our club is fortunate to have outstanding Scottish Terrier breeders in the area. Their quality stock has received widespread recognition for temperament, obedience, companionship and conformation to the breed standard. Our Annual Specialty entries are strong and include Scotties from all over the U.S. In addition to the specialty, our club engages in many public activities aimed at improving the health, training, conformation, and grooming of the Scottish Terrier. These include participating in:
-Fala Day which focuses on play time, lure course, and games with your Scotties, -A Scottie Clan Picnic,
-"Howl"oween Party
