We’re honored to be a beneficiary of Elton John Impact Awards – celebrating the changemakers who are redefining culture and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community. 🌈

Because of this support and visibility from The Elton John Impact Awards, Procter & Gamble, and the Looking Out Foundation, MiGen is able to expand support LGBTQ+ aging adults across Michigan.

This year’s honorees – including Jonathan Bailey, Laverne Cox, Melissa Etheridge, Billie Jean King, Orville Peck and Chappell Roan – have driven change, shaped culture and made a positive impact on society.

That’s a wrap on the Mackinac Policy Conference! MiGen was proud to be an inaugural sponsor of the first LGBTQ+ event in conference history, where nearly 100 people joined the conversation on why q***r business is good business and the importance of creating Michigan communities where everyone can belong. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Every day, people across Michigan are making big decisions about care and how they want to age. MI Options helps make those decisions clearer—offering free, unbiased support and person-centered counseling so people don’t have to navigate it alone.

But now, its funding is at risk. MI Options was not included in the Governor’s Fiscal Year 2027 budget, putting this vital program in jeopardy. Without it, thousands of Michiganders could lose access to trusted, unbiased guidance—making it harder to plan ahead, navigate complex systems, and access support.

Our new space at Corktown Health is starting to feel like home 💜
