Please keep Ms. Pat Jones (our County Council Treasurer and fellow FCE member), her husband Virgil, and their family in your prayers. They are dealing with some very tough health issues right now. Maybe reach out and offer a meal, a ride, a visit, or just a phone call. Thank you.

Congratulations to Sara Shelton and Kate Henry from Lincoln County High School! They were each awarded $500 from our Sweetheart Bake Sale proceeds.

Sara is a member of the Dellrose Hotrock FCE. She's a dual enrollment graduate this year (LCHS and Motlow State) who would like to follow in her mama's footsteps and become a teacher. Sara was also the recipient of the 2026 Dellrose-Hotrock FCE Scholarship this year.

Kate Henry is a well deserving student who's had to step into the role of helping provide for her family along with carrying an almost perfect GPA, being a diligent community volunteer, and working extensive hours with various employers.

Congratulations to both of these ladies. We look forward to seeing them soar into the next phase of their lives.

Thank you to Anita Ground our Lincoln County FCE President for helping present these scholarships today. I'd also like to thank the other members of the 2026 County Scholarship Committee: Andrea Shetley, Brenda Miles, Debra Quarles, Debbie Motlow, and Bonnie Pond.

The end of February is quickly approaching!! Time to turn in your bake sale money to the Extension Office or directly to Pat Jones. I hope we broke last year's record of $2500 for our scholarships for graduating seniors. Can't wait to see how successful we were!!

We have our first County Council meeting for the year scheduled for Tues Jan 13th at 9:30am. It will be held in the Extension Office community room and usually lasts approximately 2 hours.

PLEASE try to have at least ONE club member attend as we will be filling in all the committees for 2026. Our ultimate goal is to make sure every committee has at least one member from each club.

Also, your club's CVU hours, people reached, and 100% forms from 2025 are due. Please make sure you turn them in.

We look forward to seeing you!!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. With the new year, comes a very busy time for the Lincoln County FCE. All members need to start getting sponsors and bakers lined up for the annual Sweetheart Bake Sale. Sponsorship Forms are in your yearbook PG 62.

WE NEED BAKERS!! We have no problems getting sponsors but, bakers are definitely harder to find. PLEASE consider being a baker this year.

We have SO many graduating Seniors from all of the schools and we would like to present as many scholarships as possible. The past couple years, we've been able to award 5 (2 - LCHS, 1 - Fayetteville City, 1 - Chestnut Ridge Homeschool, and 1 - Riverside).
