So sad to see a longtime downtown business close its doors. ❤️ Lawson’s Department Store has been part of our community for so many years, and they will certainly be missed.

Their Going Out of Business Sale begins Thursday, September 10 at noon. Stop by, show them some love, and shop local one more time. ❤️

❤️ A special recognition tonight!

Tonight, Mayor Donna Hartman presented Aimee Byrd with a proclamation from the City of Fayetteville honoring her years of dedicated service to Fayetteville Main Street and the City of Fayetteville.

We are so thankful to Mayor Hartman and the City of Fayetteville for recognizing Aimee and the many years she has poured her heart into our downtown and community.

Congratulations, Aimee, and thank you for all you have done for Fayetteville Main Street! ❤️

This painting was too special not to share. ❤️

As a gift to Aimee from the Fayetteville Main Street Board, we asked Art by Allie to create this beautiful painting of our Main Street office—a place that holds so many memories from Aimee’s years of service to our downtown and community.

What makes it even more special is that Allie is one of our own downtown merchants and the owner of Southern Bales on the square. She captured our building so beautifully, right down to the character and charm that make it such a special part of downtown Fayetteville.

A beautiful piece of art, created by a local artist, to honor someone who has given so much to our Main Street. ❤️

Thank you, Allie, for creating something Aimee can treasure for years to come!
