The San Juan County Sheriff’s Posse is a non-profit 501c3 organization that is committed to serving the San Juan County Community, promoting the Western Way of life and supporting the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office. The mission of the San Juan County Sheriff’s Posse is to assist the Sheriff’s Department by taking an active interest in civic, social, and moral welfare of the community.

Everyone be safe! Awards ceremony is canceled…we tried everyone . But it is just too dangerous. Awards are not worth anyone risking coming out in this weather! We will get everyone their awards. Our last and final Gymkhana of the year will be Saturday October 24,2026 at 11am.

They will also be handing out awards afterwards. If you are planning to attend the awards and have not let us know please do so asap so they know how much food to have in hand.

Parents and Contestants: do to circumstances beyond my control I will not be able to attend the last gymkhana. I want to thank you for allowing me to be part of your gymkhana life the last two summers and watching your children grow. I hope every one of them continue to follow rodeo dreams and rodeo road is good to everyone one you. I hope in Some small way we inspired them.

Gymkhana kids, do to scheduling and both gymkhanas end up on the same day. We are going to push our start time back to 12:00 and goats will be our last event. To give everyone a chance to go to both events if they want. I hope this helps a little.

We are down to our last 2. If you are planning on being at the awards after the October 24 gymkhana we really need to know how many will be attending our awards dinner so we know how much food to order.

Friday Night Light Gymkhana we are down to our last two gymkhanas they will be on Saturdays this month. Oct 10 and Oct, 24 with awards to follow on October 24

I understand they are getting the Purple Cow to host our awards dinner.
So please let us know how many will be attending. And we would like to ask you to bring a homemade dessert to share
