God’s Not Looking At Your Stats—He’s Looking At This.
Scouts often start by measuring speed, strength, and skill. But that’s not what matters most.
The first thing to look for is heart. Without it, talent means nothing.
In 1 Samuel 16, God told Samuel: “People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
You can have the perfect resume, the right look, the best skill set—but without heart, it will not last.
So what does it take to go the distance? Three things:
1. Physical durability
2. Mental toughness
3. A teachable spirit
Some people have the talent but cannot stay healthy. Others give up when failure hits.
And some stop growing because they won’t learn. Talent gets you noticed. Character keeps you going.
Do not just train your gifts. Strengthen your endurance, your mindset, and your heart.
