Some cats survive. Casey thrives. ❤️

When Casey was found in November 2025, this sweet former farm cat was facing unimaginable odds. Just one month after giving birth to a litter of four kittens, 2-year-old Casey suffered a devastating injury that left her unable to bear weight on her back legs. No one knew exactly what happened — but despite the pain, Casey never stopped caring for her babies. She continued to nurse and protect them until help finally arrived.

Last Hope Rescue in Farmington, MN stepped in and rushed Casey to Southview Animal Hospital, where her journey toward healing began. Casey’s exam revealed multiple fractures in her pelvis — including fractures affecting her left hip joint, the joint connecting her p***c bones, and part of her pelvic floor. Her injuries were extensive and required major surgery in order to heal properly.

After major surgery at the University of Minnesota, Casey returned to her foster home to recover. Thanks to the incredible care of her foster family — and the amazing spirit Casey somehow never lost — she is now fully healed and searching for the forever home she deserves.

Casey is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She loves sunbeam naps, nighttime snuggles, and being around other cats. She does well with dogs, has perfect litterbox manners, and only scratches cat trees.

From the moment she arrived in foster care, Casey has been affectionate, goofy, confident, and endlessly sweet. She is deeply loved by her foster family, but she deserves a forever family to call her own.
