Happy Birthday, Alexys!!

Alexys has known about Haven Acres for YEARS because of some family members attending, but this was the first year she jumped in herself, and she has done amazing! She is someone who works SO HARD at learning and doing things well and pours herself into things she has committed to. She has also been extremely reliable, cheerful, and kind.

Alexys, thank you so much for being willing to jump into something out of your comfort zone and serve out here! You have done a wonderful job and your student has been lucky to have you in her life. And we have been lucky to have you on the team! We pray that you have a wonderful day knowing how loved and appreciated you are and that God fills this next year with everything you need. We pray it is full of encouragement, joy, peace, and love. Thanks again!

Today is EmaRae's birthday!

EmaRae started as a participant in the program years ago and when she graduated she became a maverick! The last two years she has been a wonderful volunteer helping with sessions. She is cheerful and always ready to do anything we ask of her and more. She LOVES Jetta (middle picture) and always thinks of her if she thinks she is getting left out of treats or attention 🙂

Thank you for serving at Haven Acres, EmaRae! We have been thankful to have you on the team. May God bless you in this coming year and fill you with His Spirit, strength, and wisdom. This is the lovely Allison! Allison started helping with chores every week this winter and has been such a reliable, hard working volunteer each Saturday morning. Then once sessions started this summer she jumped into helping as a maverick when the kids are out. She has been one of our most consistent and reliable volunteers, which really means the world to us! And she also has one of the longest drives of any of our volunteers!

Happy Birthday, Allison! Thank you for choosing to spend your time out at Haven Acres and being such a big help. It doesn't go unnoticed! Praying this next year is full of blessing for you (and your horse!). That you would have rich relationships with friends, family, and God, and that He would daily remind you how close He is to you at every step of your journey this year. This is Makenzie! She has been one of our wonderful mavericks the last two summers now and we are so grateful for all of her help! She is cheerful, always willing to try new things, confident with the horses, kind to everyone around her, and just super great to have around.

Thank you for taking time out of your summer to serve out here every week, Makenzie! You are seriously so helpful and we are so thankful to have you on the team. Praying this next year is one full of spiritual growth and strength. Terry is one of our volunteers who has been coming out for the VERY LONGEST. This is his FOURTEENTH summer!! If you or anyone you know has been impacted by Haven Acres, you should thank Terry, because Haven Acres wouldn't be the same without him. He has invested in Haven Acres in countless ways and always with the most cheerful attitude. He helps with chores all year round, he has mentored so many boys, he serves on our board, he has helped at nearly all of our fundraisers, and much more. Terry is a die hard Haven Acres guy, and you can often catch him counting down the days to retirement because he wants to come out here even more often when that happens. Terry is just the best!

Terry, you are such a blessing to Haven Acres and honestly to everyone who ever comes out, even if they never get to meet you! You are such a cheerful, humble, hard-working, amazing guy. We hope you have a fabulous next year and we pray that God continues to grow, strengthen, and fill you in every way. And we hope you have a great birthday too! Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday, Jo Ann!

This is Jo Ann's tenth summer out at Haven Acres! She started out as a mentor and has transitioned into a substitute role as her life has changed, and we always really appreciate having her out. One of her students from the very beginning is an amazing young woman who actually spoke on stage at the Flannel Gala this spring about her experience at Haven Acres with Jo Ann! Jo Ann did an amazing job with her, helping her feel comfortable and loved despite her anxiety. Jo Ann is such a calm, kind, gentle person who I'm sure the horses love too 🙂

Thanks for serving, Jo Ann! Praying you have a wonderful day and that you know how loved and appreciated you are. Praying God continues to fill you in ways that only He can and that this next year is full of blessing and abundance for you. Praying that lives will continue to be impacted by you and your gentle faithfulness. Happy Birthday again!

The Double Good popcorn fundraiser is technically supposed to end in about 1 hour, but they've given us an extension to sell popcorn for two more days. For those of you who are volunteers or participants, please boost your post or put it out there one more time and let's see if we can meet our goal. We've done more than $12,000 in sales and have probably had almost $1,000 come in outside donations which equals to about $7,000 raised for Haven acres. Our goal is $10,000. See if you can help us reach the goal so that we can continue offering services free of charge to all of our participants. Thank you so much for your support!

Also please see the leaderboard Attached below. There are donations given outside that will also count towards the totals, so the leaderboard might not be 100% accurate, but prizes will be given for the top three sellers.
