Heavenly Hooves Ranch

Heavenly Hooves Ranch Heavenly Hooves provides therapeutic riding programs for special needs and at-risk youth. Without Him, this organization would not exist.

Heavenly Hooves Therapeutic & Recreational Riding center is a 501c3 non-profit organization, which provides equine assisted riding programs for At-Risk youth and special needs individuals at no charge. Our Goal is to provide opportunities and instruction using horses to help improve quality of life in every student, teach safety and emotional bonding with the horses that then will be transferred t

o other relationships. The decision to offer this service at no charge was from our Father God. The organization is founded on our being guided by His will and our wanting to share His Love, Grace and Mercy through the programs available at Heavenly Hooves. Please contact for an appointment. Each session is an individual private session by appointment only, with the student and parent(s)/caregiver, and we will need to schedule any appointments outside of our session times to discuss the programs.

Please take a few minutes to watch this heartfelt five-minute message from Patricia Turner, Co-founder & Executive Director of Heavenly Hooves.

Since the passing of her husband, Rusty Turner, earlier this year, Lynn is no longer able to personally fund many of the nonprofit’s operational expenses. Heavenly Hooves urgently needs our community's support to continue its important work.

Please watch Lynn’s video, pray about how you can help, and give whatever you feel led to give. No amount is too small, and every gift makes a difference.

Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and support. God bless you.

Farrier day today - check✔️

Monty and Dak were their usual “whatever “ mindset, with a few exceptions of jus acting a butt because they had to actually lift a leg and that’s so demanding. 😂
To be fair, I haven’t had their feet done in a while and off schedule due to finances, so it’s really more on me.

Esther was a princess!!! She was so good!!!
And just to remember when she first came here how afraid and in so much pain. It was extremely sad.
Now- she trusts again, is no longer in pain and you can see the love in her eyes!!!!!

Star - I’m so proud of him and completely confused too. Last time, we couldn’t get his feet done. He was not having it.
Then we remembered that his previous owner told us he needs to be tied and not someone holding the lead rope. So we loose tied him and walaa- it worked and he was fine.

Gracie- well this old girl is priceless and onery too. Once you catch her, she is golden!!!!
But it always starts with “catch me if you can”! 😂🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️❤️

Pepper got her first experience with getting her feet done. I expected to have to give her a little sedative, but everything we throw at her, she handles like a champ! We did her two front feet and will do all four next time. Back hooves didn’t actually look bad so we decided to take it slow.
She was like, what the heck are yall doing? Oh wait, momma is scratching me and loving on me- ok, I’m good!!!!!

Finding things to be grateful for! Sometimes we have to dig deep, but I’m choosing thankfulness and gratitude in this moment. Not sure what 5 minutes from now will look like though.

🐴 The research is straightforward: children with ADHD who participate in equine-assisted activities show measurable improvements in attention, impulse control, and self-regulation — often within weeks of starting. The less obvious question is why.

Part of the answer is the horse itself. Horses are immediate and honest. They respond to what you're doing right now, not what you did five minutes ago. A child who can't sit still at a desk discovers that a horse requires exactly the kind of focused, present-moment attention that medication or therapy is trying to build. The horse becomes a reason to regulate, because the horse makes it clear — gently, without judgment — when the child isn't.

Part of the answer is the body. Riding engages core muscles and balance systems in ways that activate neurological pathways involved in attention. The rhythmic movement of a horse at walk has been shown to affect brain activity in measurable ways.

And part of the answer, honestly, is that it's interesting. A horse is more interesting than a worksheet. A twelve-year-old who is impossible to engage in a classroom will stay focused on a horse for an hour without being asked twice.

Have you seen a horse help a child who was struggling to connect elsewhere?
