We had a magical time at a recent Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Baseball game! There’s nothing like a day at the ballpark to enjoy some great baseball and even better company. ⚾

Did someone say pool party? We had an excellent time celebrating the vocational program in Grafton with a pool party and a picnic lunch. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped organize this special day! 🌊🌭🌞

It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of Shannon Neil at the age of 48 years old. Shannon was surrounded by her mother and Friendship family at the time of her passing.

Shannon was born on December 19, 1977, in Fargo, ND, where she lived with her mother and attended school until 11th grade. Prior to moving to Friendship in 2021, Shannon received services from Fraser and worked at DWAC where she made many friends. When DWAC closed in 2015, Shannon began receiving employment services from VTC, where she worked for nearly 11 years and where her special “someone” was never far from her side. Most recently, Shannon received Friendship Day Hab services in her home. One of her constant companions was her favorite stuffie, Rosie. It was rare to see one without the other.

Shannon was a friendly, kindhearted woman who enjoyed spending time with her family, joking with friends, and engaging in her community. She loved to bake, watch movies, and listen to all types of music. Shannon also loved animals, dancing, bowling, and participating in Special Olympics. Shannon’s friendly and outgoing personality will be greatly missed.

Come out to Longfellow Field tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4th, at 5:30pm to catch the final game of the season! To make up for a weather cancellation, the Friendship Fireants are playing one last time before the season wraps up.

A huge thank you goes out to all the coaches, players, team members, and volunteers who helped make this season such a great success!
