Exciting stuff is growing on 🌱 at the Welcome Garden! Stay tuned for updates this summer! ☀️⤵️

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating a space where love grows: the Global Refuge Welcome Garden! 🌻🌎

Since opening in 2023, the Welcome Garden has been a place of welcome and refuge for the immigrant community in Fargo, ND. Families grow food that’s culturally meaningful, they form relationships with their neighbors, and they find a much-needed sense of comfort.

Thanks to a partnership with Concordia College and support from generous donors, this community of gardeners is busy preparing for the upcoming growing season. Nearly 10,000 seedlings—peppers, eggplant, Molokhia/Egyptian spinach, sweet potato greens, kohlrabi, plus culinary herbs and cut flowers—are already growing! 🌱

Members of our Global Refuge Fargo community are proud to have attended yesterday's Palm Sunday Path! Together, we gathered in solidarity as a reminder of our call to feed the hungry, heal the sick, and welcome the stranger. 💙⤵️

Sunday event was one of many interdenominational Palm Sunday marches held nationwide.

Nataliia, a Virtual Case Manager originally from Ukraine, was recently sworn in at a Fargo naturalization ceremony that welcomed 186 new citizens from 43 different countries. Congratulations, Nataliia! 🥳
