September is here, and we’re ready for another month of good food and great company. ❤️

Here’s where you can find the Heart-n-Soul food truck this month! Save the schedule, share it with someone you’d like to have a meal with, and come see us when we’re in your neighborhood.

And remember, you don’t need a special reason to come to a Heart-n-Soul café. Come for lunch, bring the family for dinner, meet up with a friend, or just come because you don’t feel like cooking. 😊

We’ll share menus and details as we go.

Pay what you would typically pay for a meal, pay what you can, or pay it forward.

Hope to see you sometime in September! 🚚🍽️❤️

Overdose does not discriminate. It affects parents, children, friends, neighbors, and colleagues across every walk of life. Stigma feeds isolation, but awareness and community action save lives.

How you can help?

-Educate yourself on overdose warning signs.
-Carry Narcan—it can save a life.
-Reach out to someone who may be struggling.
-Help us end the stigma around substance use disorders.

You are not alone, and help is always within reach.

Heart-n-Soul Community Café returns to The Ridge!

Wednesday, August 26
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Ridge Treatment & Reentry Center
3210 13th Ave S
Fargo, ND 58103

Heart-n-Soul Community Café is committed to creating a community where everyone has access to nutritious food, meaningful relationships, and a seat at the table. Through their pay-what-you-can model, guests are invited to contribute what they are able, volunteer their time, or simply come and enjoy a meal. No one is turned away because of an inability to pay.

More than a meal, Heart-n-Soul fosters belonging, dignity, and connection by bringing people from all walks of life together around the table. Their mission aligns closely with our belief that recovery, healing, and community happen when people feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

Whether you're a Ridge client, alum, staff member, supporter, or community neighbor, we invite you to stop by, share a meal, and experience the power of community.

We are incredibly proud to highlight our amazing staff member, Amelia, who spent this past week on the road with the Shining Light program for their yearly facility visits!

Amelia and the team traveled across North Dakota, visiting Heart River Correctional Center, Missouri River Correctional Center, Burleigh County Detention Center, James River Correctional Center, James River Minimum Unit, McKenzie County Jail and the North Dakota State Penitentiary. Their mission? To visit past and future participants, share their stories, build bonds, and send a clear message: You are not alone.

Amelia’s connection to Shining Light is deeply personal. She first got involved with the program during her own incarceration at HRCC in 2024, where she was part of the very first Women's Academy. Today, she is walking living proof that transformation is possible. In fact, 7 out of the 10 Shining Light team members who went into the facilities this week are formerly incarcerated themselves. They now go back inside to facilitate Academy classes, lead Loop groups, and inspire hope for those currently serving time.

The impact Shining Light is having in North Dakota right now is incredible:

• 70+ individuals currently in peer-facilitated classes.
• 1,054 copies of The Loop newsletter distributed across North Dakota

At The Ridge Treatment & Reentry Center, we believe in the power of lived experience through peer support and second chances. Thank you, Amelia, for using your story to light the way for others and for being such a vital part of our team!
