Come join us THIS TUESDAY to hear from Doug Goehring, North Dakota Commissioner of Agriculture!

Doug Goehring has been North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner since 2009.

A third-generation farmer, Commissioner Goehring, along with his son, Dustin, operates a 2,800-acre, no-till farm near Menoken in south central North Dakota, where they raise corn, soybeans, spring wheat, sunflowers, and barley.

Long active in farm organizations, Commissioner Goehring has served as vice president of the North Dakota Farm Bureau. An early supporter of agriculture-based, renewable fuels, he is an investor in the Red Trail Energy Ethanol Plant at Richardton.

Beyond his responsibilities to North Dakota’s agriculture industry and research, his portfolio as Commissioner includes oil and gas, water, trade, business development, tax equalization, and infrastructure.

Join us for our meeting tomorrow to listen to our District 22 Representative speak!

Brandy Pyle represents North Dakota House District 22 and has served in the North Dakota Legislature since 2017. A graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, where she studied finance and international business, Brandy brings a practical, business-minded perspective to public service.

A strong advocate for thoughtful policymaking, responsible budgeting, education, and opportunities for North Dakota families, Brandy values collaboration, open dialogue, and respectful debate. She believes good leadership requires integrity, preparation, accountability, and a willingness to listen to different perspectives while keeping the best interests of North Dakotans at the forefront.

Agriculture needs people in many different roles, not just farmers. Education, business, research, advocacy, equipment, organizations, and other careers all help keep agriculture moving forward. Kayla Hart encourages young people to explore agriculture because there is a place for many different interests and skills within the industry. Take 5 minutes to give this a read!

$500 scholarship opportunity for NDFB Student Members!

NDFB is looking for an Event & Communications Intern for the 84th NDFB Annual Meeting in Bismarck, Nov. 20-21.

This isn’t a sit-behind-a-desk internship. You’ll be in the middle of the action, helping capture what makes Annual Meeting special. You’ll:
•Interview NDFB members on camera
•Create and post social media content throughout the event
•Capture photos and video from sessions and activities
•Help tell member stories and turn event moments into engaging content
•Assist with event logistics, registration and other behind-the-scenes needs

You’ll gain hands-on experience in video editing, interviewing, social media, storytelling and event communications while meeting NDFB members from across North Dakota.

If you’re an NDFB Student Member studying communications, marketing, journalism, media, public relations or a related field, this is a great way to build your portfolio. Come help us share the story that NDFB is Member Built. Member Strong.

To apply, email your resume and a short paragraph on why you'd like to intern to [email protected] by Oct. 23.
