Moments ago there was an accident on I29 going southbound right underneath the Main Avenue underpass. Please avoid that area if possible so first responders can do their thing!

Weather update!

From 12pm today to 12pm tomorrow the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for parts of southeastern and northeastern North Dakota.

Temperatures can reach down to -40 and frostbite could set in quickly even with precautions. Please limit your outdoor exposure and try and keep warm.

Straight from the National Weather Service:

a hazardous weather outlook has been created for the week and as follows:

Today and tonight:
Hazardous to dangerous wind chills ranging from -35 to -50 are
likely today and tonight across eastern North Dakota.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Chance for areas of blowing snow in eastern North Dakota Monday
into Tuesday. Confidence remains low on the coverage and severity
of impacts.

Also, we are still in a wind chill warning until noon tomorrow, meaning that temperatures can get dangerously low. Please be careful while going to work in the morning as these wind chills can cause ice to form on the roads making hazardous conditions for our morning commute. Also, please be aware of our four legged companions! Some of them may have thick fluffy coats, but their paw pads are still subject to direct contact with the harsh weather. Please limit their outdoor activities as much as possible!

Welcome to the Fargo EVAC page! Here's a little bit about us!

Fargo EVAC is a volunteer first responder organization in the city of Fargo, dedicated to the safety of the community during harsh times and accidents. Our volunteers are a dedicated group of individuals who respond to traffic accidents and disasters. We have been trained in responding to accident scenes and reporting correctly to FPD and FFD if they haven't, as well as responding to flooding and tornado emergencies when the need arises. We are also dedicated to reaching the public about other organizations in the community that help with providing more independence to those who need it.
