A great big hello and welcome to our new Tommy's Place friend Andrew! Andrew and his family and friends stayed with us at Tommy's Place in Falmouth!

Andrew's mom in her own words...

"We are so grateful to Tim and Tommy's Place for the amazing opportunity you gave us! We got to spend precious time with Andrew and take a break from the hospital, insurance company, and pharmacy that has become our daily reality. Andrew has been fighting anaplastic ependymoma in his brain and spine since 2022 with multiple surgeries, rounds of radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and clinical trials. Four years of fighting cancer has resulted in significant fatigue but his energy picked up while at Tommy's Place! He spent time reading in the cozy library, swimming in the warm pool, and playing board games with family in the comfy game room. It was incredible to see the joy on his face after all he has been through! We were so impressed by the creative detail of the house and found something new each day! The week refreshed and reset us all so we can keep battling cancer! We are overwhelmed by your generosity!"

"Hi Tim and the Tommy’s Place Team,

I want to reach out to express the utmost gratitude to you all for helping our family to create memories that will last a lifetime. Our week at Tommy’s Place was nothing short of magical!!! Your incredible house was right out of a dream. It allowed us to relax, laugh, and play with our friends and family in a way that we have not done since before Emerson’s cancer diagnosis. She is now healthy and strong enough to really “play” and enjoy the time that we had with our family and friends. This week was a vacation and break that we didn’t know that we needed and how much we needed it.

From the bottom of my heart as a mother that has watched my family battle just to hold on these past few years, thank you for giving my daughter and our family true joy and making dreams come true."

It’s a rare gift to invite all the people you love into one perfectly, thoughtfully designed house created just for kids. When memories matter most, organizations like Tommy’s Place are important because they give families like ours the chance to create moments we’ll never forget.

A few of our favorite highlights included learning how to swim without floaties, endless rounds of Ticket to Ride, daily walks to the candy store, and extra family love."

Tommy's Place is incredibly grateful for our amazing team of 95 runners who collectively helped raise an incredible $243,000+ (and counting) to help support our mission of bringing smiles to the faces of kids fighting cancer. Thank you to all of the generous donors who supported our team of runners! Your support helps Tommy's Place provide 104 free of charge vacations per year to these brave kids and their deserving families. Thank you to all of the family and friends and total strangers who cheered our runners on all throughout the course!

We are grateful beyond words for each and every single one of you! Without all of you, there is no Tommy's Place!

A great big hello and welcome to our new Tommy's Place friend Clara! Clara and her family and friends visited us at Tommy's Place in Falmouth!

Clara's mom in her own words...

Tim,

"We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend a week at Tommy’s Place. The house is truly magical!! We had a blast exploring each special room and were amazed at all the little details. We relaxed, played, and made priceless memories. We slept in race car beds, had several dance parties with Taylor Swift, spent long afternoons playing games, reading books, and doing arts and crafts, and enjoyed movie nights snuggled up in the theater & the astronaut room. Clara wants to be an astronaut when she grows up, so that was one of our favorite places to spend time.

It was so nice to have the town center just a short walk away, and the same with the pool! We had lots of fun climbing on the rocks and searching for shells on the beach. We explored Martha’s Vineyard & Nantucket and ate lots & lots of ice cream.

We cannot THANK YOU enough for such an amazing week. It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Falmouth's best kept secret is coming up this Saturday, August 15th at 10 a.m. - the day BEFORE the Falmouth Road Race!
Don't miss out on the 35th Annual The Falmouth Walk ! There's still time to register for this 3 mile walk through the streets and along the shore of beautiful Falmouth.
Tommy's Place is very grateful to be one of the fortunate Falmouth charities who receive a generous grant from this incredible organization founded by two incredible human beings - our namesake Tommy Leonard and Eddie Doyle. Sadly, this will be the first year we will be without these two titans of the community.
The Falmouth Walk has literally been supporting Tommy's Place since day one - long before our doors opened. We are forever grateful for their warm welcome into the Falmouth community!
