Pack 41 wrapped up the scouting year with our annual awards picnic at First Congregational Church of Falmouth! Scouts in attendance received their earned awards and ranks. Before sharing a meal together scouts enjoyed games on the lawn and made use of the church playground. Have a great summer Pack 41!

Pack 41 took part in the annual chuckwagon derby at camp Greenough over the weekend! Scouts enjoyed s’mores and snacks around the fire before the rain set in and then completed the 9 stations scattered around the camp while competing against other packs from around cape cod and beyond. The rain and wind held off until the end of the day Saturday. Another adventure in the books for Pack 41!

Pack 41 scouts braved the rain yesterday to participate in the annual Falmouth Memorial Day parade and ceremony. Scouts also led attendees in the pledge of allegiance and formed part of the scout color guard alongside scouts from troops 38 and 42.

Pack 41 cub scouts, along with a couple scouts from troops 42 and 38, replaced the flags on the graves of Falmouth veterans at Oak Grove cemetery yesterday in advance only Memorial Day. Staff treated scouts to a pizza lunch afterward. Excellent work scouts!

Pack 41 completed our annual spring service project to the Falmouth community by sprucing up the grounds of the WBNERR facility this evening. Scouts picked up leaves and debris from the winter, spread mulch, and cleaned out shells from winter snow piles. Scouts also enjoyed a tour of the visitor center with WBNERR staff and wrapped up with a tasty treat!

Pack 41 had a great time visiting the USS Constitution and her crew in Boston over the weekend. Scouts participated in the colors ceremony in the evening and morning, with the opportunity to raise and lower flags, call out commands over the ship PA system, and get a front row seat of the ceremonial firing of the ship’s cannon. Scouts also completed facing drills and helped reenact loading and positioning of one of the ships long guns. After a tasty dinner at the Navy mess and hanging out in the lounge, scouts visited the ships magazine below decks and enjoyed a campsite session before sleeping on board. The next morning after colors scouts had a hot breakfast at the mess hall before departing. Thanks to the crew for being patient and gracious hosts!
