For millions of kids across America, when school is out, meals disappear. Weekends, holidays, and summer break can bring uncertainty about where their next meal will come from.

Our nation was founded on a shared vision that brought people together and led to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Nearly 250 years later, it's time to rally the nation around another declaration: to nourish every child’s potential.

Because the American Dream starts with a full plate.

This July 4, in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, the Albertsons Companies Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors program is launching Nourish the American Dream, a bold, nationwide, multi-year movement to help end childhood hunger once and for all.

The Fallbrook Food Pantry is joining the campaign with other organizations across the country to nourish every child’s potential.

From July 1- 7, every dollar we raise supports our mission and contributes to Nourish the American Dream’s collective $5 million goal to help more children access the food they need to grow and thrive.

Summer should feel like sunshine, dirt under fingernails, and kids coming home proud of what they learned.

Fit2BeKids Summer Camp is not a “sit and watch” kind of program. It is hands-on, outdoors, and built to help kids grow confidence while they explore food, farming, and creativity on a real working farm in Fallbrook.

Each week is packed with:
• Planting, gardening, and harvesting
• Cooking and simple food science experiments
• Farm animal interaction
• Adventure and survival-style skill building
• Art, music, games, and themed activities

Your child will not just learn where food comes from. They will plant it, harvest it, cook it, and taste it.

- For boys and girls ages 6 to 12
- Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm
- Four week options in July 2026
- Hosted at Welburn Gourd Farm
