Pleasant Country Road between South Robinson Rd and Rosebud. Complete blockage. Large tree down covering both lanes. At the top of the switch back above the curve. Dispatch has been notified and we are responding.

ROAD CLOSURE: US-31 between I-65 Exit 318 and Lacon Road in Morgan County is now closed. Please use I-65 or other alternate routes instead.

ALDOT strongly cautions drivers to heed the signs and do not to enter the work zone. Contractors are saw cutting concrete and will soon begin demolishing slabs, leaving gaps in the pavement that could make any attempts at through travel extremely hazardous.

🚨Fire Weather Alert for This Weekend🚨

The Alabama Forestry Commission has issued fire restrictions due to expected high winds, low humidity, and dry conditions across the state.

🔥 What this means:
• Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged
• No burn permits will be issued this Saturday
• Fires can spread quickly and become dangerous in these conditions

We ask everyone to help keep our community safe by avoiding any unnecessary burning this weekend. Even small fires can get out of control fast.
